MASALA ALOO.

Ingredients:-

Potatoes - 1/2 kg.

Cooking oil - 4 tbs.

Gram dal - 1 tsp.

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.

Mustard seeds - 2 tbs.

Button chilli - 4-5.

Curry leaves.

Green chilli - 3.

Salt to taste.

Turmeric - 1 & 1/2 tsp.

Chilli flakes - 1 tsp.

Onion sliced - 1.

Method:-

Cut the potatoes, in cube & boil them for 6-7 minutes.....

Soak lentils in water for 15 minutes, & drain....

Cut chillies diagonal, thinly sliced onions.....

In a wok, heat oil & add lentil, fry for a minute....

When the change colour, add onion , mustard, & cumin seeds....

When onions turns translucent add button chilli, turmeric, chilli flakes & mix well....

Add potatoes, curry leaves & salt, mix well.....

If required add water, to avoid burning.....

Add green chillies & coriander leaves, & simmer for 5 minutes, turn off the flame.....

Serve masala aloo with puri, Paratha, roti & dosa.....
