Chapter twelve

"Rufus the psychic." 

Having left the gala, all five of them had agreed to meet back at Maddie's car after having changed into regular clothes, which was why Maddie was now driving down the road with Andre in the passenger seat as Marie, Cate and Jordan sat in the back, Andre kept trying to turn on the radio but Maddie kept smacking his hand away "what we can't listen to music?" Andre asked her "no, Andre we can't! Because I need you to give me directions seeing as your the idiot who talked our friend Emma who's going through a really rough time right now if you hadn't seen that dumb bitches video into going into some random fucking facility and now you don't know where she is!" Maddie voiced.

"Well, look I'm sorry! I was trying to do what Luke wanted us to do Maddie, this? His brother, Sam who I sent Emma to see is the reason he freaked out in the first place." Andre told her, as Maddie turned glaring at him, Andre then cleared his throat "your gonna wanna turn um..left up here." he told her, as Maddie looked away from him and quickly turned the wheel heading left, causing those in the back seat to slide all over "um..who taught you how to drive?" Marie asked "Luke." Andre, Cate and Jordan all told her as Marie let out a breath.

"Now just keep going straight." Andre told her "Andre, what are we supposed to tell people if she's not okay, hmm? I mean Brink just died. Luke just died!" Maddie voiced, pressing her foot down harder on the gas without even realizing it "uh, Maddie. Maddie!" Andre yelled as everyone felt their bodies hit against their seats not being able to move "right! Right!" Andre yelled, as Maddie quickly turned the wheel, driving off road and onto grass "what the hell, Andre! This is an Audi not a truck!" Cate voiced, as Andre began tapping Maddie on the shoulder "park. Park here." he told her, as Maddie quickly pressed her foot on the breaks, the car jolted to a stop as they lunged forward a bit.

Marie quickly got out of the car along with Andre and Cate, as Maddie scoffed "he's unfucking believable." Maddie said as she unbuckled her seatbelt and got out along with Jordan where the two began following Marie, Andre and Cate only a few feet ahead until they found somewhat of a crater in the grass as Marie climbed into it, bending down and picking something "I found the tracker!" she called out as Andre climbed into it with her while Cate, Jordan and Maddie stayed above it "maybe this is good. She..she got out of the hellhole." Andre shared, looking at them all as he held the tracker.

"It looks like a meteor crashed here." Marie shared "maybe Sam can jump like Maeve does? He landed here with Emma then jumped again." Andre shared "wow, Andre great job. We found a tracker and a crater." Maddie told him, throwing her arms out "yeah, what were you thinking?" Marie asked him "like I said I had to do something." Andre told her "yeah, but..you didn't do anything. And of all people like Maddie said, you went to Emma?" Marie asked, as phones buzzed everyone seemed to pull theirs out except for Marie "what is it?" she asked "new rankings are out. Maddie's number one, Andre's number two, you're three and I'm still five. Wow." Jordan shared, looking to Maddie "congrats." they told her.

As Maddie turned to them "fucking really? My friend who's had the shittiest first week at god u is missing!" she voiced, throwing her arms out, as Jordan stepped toward's her "says number." they said "you thinking I fucking care about that, god, you don't even know me!" Maddie voiced, getting frustrated as she turned around "she's right we've got bigger problems to worry about." Andre told them "you're right, we do. Turns out this school has a fucking Mangele health clinic. We don't know who's in on it. If..if Brink was, maybe other professors, maybe Dean Shetty." Jordan shared, making Maddie scoff as she turned back to them "oh boo hoo your precious little Brink was a crazy motherfucker! I mean guys what the hell? We can't just go around talking about this or else they'll lock us up too!" she voiced.
