020. IN NEED OF A PLAN

Chapter twenty

"In need of a plan."

Emma and Sam had headed back to campus as the others had stopped at a diner, allowing Cate to call Dean Shetty although as she did, Maddie, Jordan who was back in their female form, Marie and Andre all found a booth although as they did, they all kept looking at Maddie in a different light since they had seen basically her entire life story all at the same time as she relived it, although Jordan kept replaying how they were still questioning if Maddie could ever love them for being a coward, as Cate soon walked back to the table as they all heard the news.

"We're coming to you live today from Godolkin university where campus police expect mast protests leading up to todays town hall with the historically unpopular and phony socialist scammer herself, vice presidential candidate Victoria Neuman, just as new rumors are circling.." the news man was saying as Andre got up, letting Cate slide into the booth, giving her no way to escape quickly as he sat back in "Shetty can't meet right now." Cate informed them "the fuck does that mean?" Jordan asked.

As Marie sighed "where is she?" she asked "the city. She'll be back later." Cate shared, as Maddie scoffed "yeah, I doubt that. You sure she's not onto you, Cate? Or did you happen to mention that you fucked up and we all remember now?" she asked her "no, no. I..I'll wait for her at her house, and then, when she comes home, I'll make her tell everyone everything." she shared, as Maddie chuckled "and we're just supposed to fucking believe you?" she asked her, and when she did, Jordan smiled, as Cate was reading their thoughts, where Jordan was thinking that she was liar and that she can't wait to go run back to Shetty and how them and Maddie were on the same wave length.

Followed by Andre's who was thinking, if we let her go alone she'll just stab us in the back, and then Marie, she's right how can we trust here when she's still hiding something "I'll go with her." Andre then said, as Cate looked to him "it's okay." she told him, and as she did, Maddie grabbed her knife and almost stabbed Cate in the hand with it as she jumped back "he's going with you." she told her, as Cate looked at her "you can trust me." she said, as Jordan turned into their male form "stay out of our fucking heads. Then maybe we'll trust you." they told her, as they got up and walked out.

Maddie then looked at Andre "you got her?" she asked, as Andre nodded, Maddie let go of the knife and got out of the booth following Jordan, Marie went to follow her, as Maddie held her hand up as Marie stopped, letting Maddie go after them herself, but before she could leave, Cate looked at her again "I swear." she said, as Maddie quickly turned her head towards her, making Cate nervous "I swear, you can." she told her "fuck you." Maddie told her, as she turned away and continued walking out.

And as she did, she stepped out the door and furrowed her brows "where the fuck did they go?" she asked, looking to her left and heading that way first, and as she did, she looked to her right, seeing Jordan in the alleyway, walking away "dude!" she called out, and as she did, Jordan turned to her, but then kept walking, causing Maddie to furrow her brows "what the fuck? Your all in my brain and now your fucking weirded out by me or something?" she asked, as Jordan turned to her, holding their hand out "it's not you, it's Cate! She was reading our thoughts." they told her, turning and continuing to walk.

"Yeah, why do you think I tried to stab her with a butter knife?" Maddie asked, as Jordan turned around, walking back toward's her "why are you so calm about this?" they asked her "I'm calm? She's been fucking with me before I even met her! How do you think that feels? She's stabbed me in the back multiple times! I don't believe anything she says anymore!" she voiced, as she then threw her arms out "also, not to pry but why do you turn into a dude anytime you wanna make a point to anyone? Is it to look tougher or something? Cause it really isn't working if it is." she shared "fine, I'll stop." Jordan told her "good." Maddie told them, crossing her arms.

And as she did, the two then stood there in silence which now with all their memories back, knowing the two of them that night didn't actually have sex seeing as Jordan had stopped it before it could get any further seeing as even in her memory lost state, Maddie had mentioned that she was a virgin to where even after the clothes were all off, the two just laid there, finding comfort in each others presence where Maddie fell asleep first followed by Jordan.

In which Maddie then began to recall everything else that had happened as she sighed, looking up at the sky "look, if it's because I'm like totally way older then I look or that I'm not actually the same age as you that is what's weird now then I totally understand if you don't want to.." she was saying, as she didn't notice Jordan stepping forward, grabbing her face, they leaned down shutting her up by kissing her and as they did, Maddie kissed them back, as Jordan then pulled away, the two we're looking at each other "so, I'm guessing that was a no?" Maddie asked, as Jordan smirked and leaned down kissing her again, as Maddie smiled into it, kissing them back.

The two then pulled away again, as both of them were smiling, Maddie then looked down and began talking "so, um, I was thinking since we can't trust Cate or potentially Shetty then maybe.." Maddie was telling them as Jordan interrupted her "we get proof ourselves?" they asked "exactly. How did you.." Maddie was saying, as Jordan held up a card "Shetty's in the city all day. I got the key to her office. I'm her TA, remember? Look, we find proof about the woods, or what they've done to Sam and those other kids down there, it doesn't matter what Cate does." Jordan shared.

As Maddie chuckled "and do what? Because newsflash, Homelander hates me because I am daddy's little girl where he would have Vought lock me up for even if I tried to help and then you are a bi gender asian supe? I mean I know your clearly into the crazy chicks but that's not exactly the best plan." she shared, as Jordan realized she was right, as they brought down the key, Maddie then looked to the wall and as she did, she noticed a poster and remembered what the news said "unless we give it to the newest guardian of godulkin and have her hand it over to Victoria Neuman who happens to be at godaulkin university to do and would possibly love to meet Marie." she shared, smirking as Jordan turned and looked at her, smirking as well.
