the skies are now getting dark as the sun totally set on the west. He momentarily close his eyes for a while as he feels the cool, dusk breeze on his face. then he take in another deep breathe as he continues to ascend the stairways, which has a freaking 100 steps. and he's at 90, and fasten his steps when he has to stop---to make a way for two people to descend.

they're a man and a woman, with the man he estimated to be in his 40's. He's assisting the woman to go down the steps and he's a bit alarmed to see that the said woman is walking so slowly, sluggishly to be exact.

"g-good evening." bati nya sa mga ito, na sa babae pa rin ang tingin. she looks familiar. "are you okay, Sir? do you need help?"

The middle aged man smiled and shake his head.

"good evening din, hijo." he greeted Gabriel back. "and no, I'm fine. my companions will be here in a while. Salamat."

"okay. ingat po kayo, matarik po itong hagdanan."

the man smiled once again and nodded at him, as he and the woman descended on the stairs. the woman looked pale and she seems sick. He could clearly see it, because of the excellent lighting of the place. bawat baitang ng hagdanan ay may ilaw, kaya malinaw na makikita ng mga pumupunta dito ang daan.

He continued ascending until he reached the top of the hill, which is a vast plain, where the famous tourist attraction---Swan Lake City, is located. there are fairy lights of various colors adorning the spread out branches of tall, huge trees. He could've admired the magical view of this place but he remembered that he has to find someone here.

He's about to head home after the shop close when he received a call from his sister. nagtataka sya kung bakit ito tumawag, gayung nasa bahay lang ito dahil wala itong pasok sa trabaho.

He seems like crying when he said he wants to go home on the other line. pwede mo ba syang puntahan, Kuya? nag-aalala kasi ako, eh. please?

and with that, he can't refuse his sister's request and headed to the place. he can't figure out why of all people, sya pa ang pinakiusapan ng kapatid na puntahan ang boss nitong Doktor. but like he said, he can't refuse. dahil kung tutuosin, he's greatly indebted to that man for saving his life. maybe this is the time that he could repay him.

He walk around, turning his head from left to right to look for Xander. he scratch his head for he can't find him anywhere, so he walk further on. He then reached the place where the rented swan-shaped boats are docked to a wooden diving platform. beside it is a huge tree that at first he thought are fairy lights, but turned out to be fireflies crowding the tree and the surface of the lake. there are probably a thousands of them, and they look like flying lanterns in the night.
