"is Papai in his office, Foei?"

Carlos inquired at the head butler whose manning the household staff, busy with some new furniture arrangements. The butler put his tablet down and bowed at the youngest Irizari.

"yes, Senhorito Carlos. shall I inform him of your presence?"

"no need. I'll go to him directly."

The young master said and walk on. Foei just stared at the young man and sighed. In his 20 years of serving this family, he knows lots of things---nasty things these people hide. but since the generation of his family vows their loyalty and is in debt with the Irizaris, he kept his mouth shut.

between the two sons, it is Alejandro who is the fair and humble one and gets along with the household people in this mansion estate. The eldest Irizari spawn treats everyone with respect---a great irony as to how boisterous and arrogant Carlos is. the younger son always has a bitter pill towards his own brother and goes head to head with him in everything--- be it academic performance, achievements and most specially, their parent's attention and approval.

"he's really one hell of an arrogant cod, isn't he?"

says Raul, his assistant and cousin. He's the one in charge of the siblings registry and their education funds. other than him, it is Raul who knows the darkest secrets of the family they're serving.

"yes. and I'd bet my whole paycheck and even my retirement plan---he's up to something that's why he wanted to see his father."

"and I'd also bet my salary and pension that whatever he's scheming to do, it involves his older brother." Raul said, shaking his head and clicking his tongue. "he's always up to no good, competing with his brother when we all knew that he can't even reach Senhorito Alejandro's level. and one thing---I wonder what would Senhorito Carlos would feel if he finds out about the truth."

Foei just shrug his shoulders.

"if ever Carlos finds out, It'll be the end of him. but I'm sure that he won't back down without a fight." Foei said. "and I'd like to stay longer just to see it happen."

The two butler just nodded with each other and get back to work.

"bom dia, Pai."

Carlos greeted his father the moment he's allowed to get in. The stern old man didn't replied and just continued to stare down at the tablet he's holding.

"I have something that will surely interest you, Father. I'd like you to look at it."

The cold and  indifferent Patriarch leaned back on his expensive croc-skin seat and look at his son, whom he never liked since the beginning.

"and what is it that you bring that'll interest me? did your department excelled in the evaluation? or did you even surpassed the impertinent Alexander with your achievements?"

Carlos clenched his fist upon hearing that person's name. It automatically made him sick and crossed.

"yes, it's about Kuya Xander, Pai." he said, opening his smartphone. "you really need to see these things. You have the right to know what your goody two-shoes heir apparent is doing ever since he left the mansion."

He step closer to his father's table and placed the smartphone within the old man's reach. Teodeorico Irizari looked at the young man with zero interest at all, drumming his fingers on the table. He then pick up the gadget, look at it plainly at first...
