It had been a week since the angels were sent back to Utopia, and the bar was back to normal with its usual customers, but Wei Wuxian felt something was missing.

He knew that it was absurd – to have missed someone who was literally his enemy – but he couldn’t help it, especially when he saw how lovey-dovey Blake and Freyja acted these days.

Freyr was the first to notice his discomfort when he observed how Wei Wuxian cleaned the same spot for at least ten minutes.

Without a word, he took out his prize bottle of homemade liquor with at least 80% alcohol content that he kept for special occasions and put down two glasses in front of himself and the distracted Wei Wuxian.

“You know, I have to hunt thousands of angels and take out their grace while they’re still alive and ferment them with my special concoction to make this angel liquor, so drink it and tell me what happened.” Freyr pushed one of the glasses with the glowing clear white liquid inside toward Wei Wuxian and he sipped his slowly to savor the surprisingly smooth and mellow taste. “This almost tempts me to take our own angels’ grace to add to the last batch I made.” Freyr sighed in regret. “I guess I have to find another way to make this exquisite liquor for the future. Now spill.”

“If Lan Wangji heard what you just said, he would probably try to arrest you on the spot, thinking that you’re the one who took those missing angels and turned them into liquor.” Wei Wuxian chuckled as he drank the throat-burning liquor. “Damn, this is good.” He flinched as he felt his insides were melting from the drink.

“So, you catch feelings toward the Captain of the Holy Knights, eh? Talk about modern day Romeo and Juliet.” Freyr chuckled as he refilled both glasses with the glowy liquid.

“Nonsense.” Wei Wuxian took the second glass and drank it all in one gulp.

“Hey, that drink is supposed to be savored slowly, don’t drink it like when you drank your cheap beer, dude.” Freyr frowned when he watched Wei Wuxian recklessly downed both glasses so fast.

The thing about this angel liquor was that it could cause the devourers to get drunk – really really drunk – unlike the other alcoholic drinks that they enjoyed. It was something about the angel’s grace that would cause a very pleasant buzz in their head and they would quickly forget their composure.

That was the reason why Freyr always drank the liquor slowly – sip by sip – and no more than three glasses.

But unfortunately, his warning was too late, because Wei Wuxian suddenly stood up and went toward the door.

“Where are you going?” Freyr quickly kept the angel liquor back to its hidden place before he followed Wei Wuxian.

“Out.” Wei Wuxian suddenly straightened up his body. “Which way is the Utopia located?”

“Damn, are you going to see him?” Freyr already regretted that he gave the hard liquor to Wei Wuxian since he behaved like this. But then again, his brother had always been able to hold his liquor, and he could even outdrink Benzaiten – who was the biggest drunkard out of them all.

“Wanna make sure that he’s fine. That’s all.” Wei Wuxian hiccuped and his eyes glazed and became unfocused. But he still stubbornly walked out of the bar with such a determination that left Freyr sighed and decided to play babysitter.

“Fine, I’ll come with you.” Then he turned back and yelled loudly. “Ajax, I’m gonna step out for a bit, man the bar for me please?”

Ajax came out from the kitchen and he frowned when he saw Wei Wuxian’s condition.

“Did you give him your moonshine? Where are you going?”

“Moonshine my ass, we’re going for… fresh air. Won’t take long.”

“You better not make a ruckus out there or I’ll tell Dottore about this.”
