Wei Wuxian observed the angels as they explored the third floor of the bed and breakfast where he brought them to stay.

It was originally Ajax and his place, but since this place had a very strong barrier that would prevent the presence of the angels to be broadcasted, he decided that this place was best to control the whole situation before it got out of hand.

He watched as the younger boy angel, and the female angel with blonde hair were checking out their surroundings with their innocent wide eyes, while the young girl angel looked around in a calm manner. Not unlike the beautiful man angel with the golden eyes who smelled so good–and now observed him carefully.

"Please tell me if you need anything–and I mean anything at all. You guys are our guests and we want you to feel comfortable here." Then he looked at Lan Wangji with laughter in his eyes. "First time on earth?"

"As a matter of fact, no, but the previous visit was a long time ago, and it was not as bad as this." Lan Wangji shook his head.

He was feeling overwhelmed, ever since they arrived. The air was heavy and polluted, the animals and plants were slowly dying, and he was feeling suffocated from all the noise and the sheer amount of people that he saw on the way to Purgatory. It was so different from the last time he went down to visit.

"It gets better." Wei Wuxian nodded in understanding. "So, I will leave you guys here to settle down. Please call me, or Ajax, if you need anything at all." He decided to leave them alone to make them lower their guards around him, and to adjust themselves to the earth's condition.

He knew that they would feel like shit, especially the first few days while their bodies adjusted to the earth's atmosphere, and he intended to take the time to go investigate first.

"Thank you… for everything." Lan Wangji nodded at Wei Wuxian gratefully, and Wei Wuxian smiled.

"Don't mention it." He waved and left them alone.

After Wei Wuxian left, Fei approached Lan Wangji and stood beside him. She tilted her head in question and she started to talk to her superior.

"Leader. I've been detecting some strange vibes from you ever since we've arrived on earth. Are you… okay?"

Lan Wangji didn't know how to respond to Fei's question, since he didn't even know what kind of feeling that he felt ever since he saw Wei Wuxian. He couldn't describe the tightness in his chest, or the way his heart beat faster, or how he didn't want that person to leave at all.

But at the end, all he could say to reassure his protege was a tight nod.

"I'm fine, Fei. How about you, Jingyi and Evie? You're good?"

"I'm feeling overwhelmed, and nauseated. Because of the amount of humans around us. But other than that I am fine." Fei nodded.

"You should go rest. I will ask for cold water for us." Lan Wangji started to stand up, but Evie quickly stopped him.

"Let me do it, brother. Your complexion doesn't look good. Jingyi, look after him, Fei, go into one of the rooms and rest please, I will be back soon."

Before anyone else could say anything, Evangeline had already gone to the bar.

Lan Wangji looked at Fei and the latter looked confused.

"She also has the same symptoms as you, Leader. I wonder if it is a… disease specific to earthlings?" She looked like she was in deep thought, because she had never encountered anything like this before. "But Jingyi and I are fine, I've checked." She looked at Lan Wangji with her violet eyes. "Is this disease only affecting the adults?" She looked so serious now.
