Lan Wangji looked at Wei Wuxian with such an indecipherable look in his eyes – which was actually very common to those who knew him. 

Sometimes, the other angels gossiped that Lan Wangji had no feelings at all, and he looked at everything like they were just some kind of a bug which happened to stumble on his path.

But then again, those who knew him, would be able to discern the indecipherable – and the flicker of something like fire that appeared for a split second when Wei Wuxian asked him to bring him up. Even he, himself, noticed it. The flickering of the ember of something that he wasn't sure it should be.

Thankfully, the object of his confusion did not pay attention to him and he was relieved. And maybe a little bit disappointed?

Strange how his feelings had been in turmoil ever since he went down to earth, just like Eve did.

Perhaps it had something to do with the dirty air and dirty water.

Which reminded him that he had to check on Evangeline later. 

That girl was so weak sometimes he doubted if she was an angel instead of a human.

"C'mon wingboy, tick tock." Wei Wuxian rolled his eyes in amusement when Lan Wangji took a second longer than he thought he would need, just to process everything. 

He suspected that this pretty boy was probably a little dumb just like all the pretty boys he knew, since he was slow to respond to his request.

But then, the next second, Lan Wangji moved as fast as the lightning and princess-carried him to the top of the building, and then put him down before Wei Wuxian could say gesundheit.

"Wow, you're so fast, and strong too, Mr. Angel." Wei Wuxian pretended to be dizzy like a normal human as he held on to Lan Wangji's arm, and in retaliation Lan Wangji held his waist. Probably unconsciously.

"Are you okay?"

Lan Wangji's face was so close to Wei Wuxian that the latter suddenly had heart palpitations from it, so he did what he always did when he became flustered.

"Why? Will you kiss me better if I'm not?"

Yeah. 

He would flirt back like his life was depending on it. 

Unfortunately, Lan Wangji was either naive, or he was a master in seduction, since his answer was very different from what Wei Wuxian expected.

"If you want to."

Daaaaaaaaammnnn.

Now Wei Wuxian was the one who flustered as he pushed Lan Wangji away and quickly observed the barrier on top of the place.

"Hmm, this is a standard concealment barrier, with some pizazz added. And by pizazz I meant the jacked up air purifier so that beings like you will definitely fall into an orgasmic trance because this environment resembles your living place. After all that bad air outside? You guys would definitely fall for it. Quite a smart lad this fella." Wei Wuxian stood up and he left the barrier intact. "Let's just keep this one as it is, so that no one finds out about us too soon." Then he hoped back into Lan Wangji's embrace. "Now, bring me down." He grinned mischievously while Lan Wangji only stiffly nodded.

"I think we should enter the place. Are you sure you're okay? You look… hot." Wei Wuxian grinned as he became amused with himself from the word play. Unfortunately Lan Wangji ignored him, although Wei Wuxian could see the redness from the tip of his ears.

How cute.

"Let's just get this over with, Wei Wuxian."

Lan Wangji then proceeded to walk into the main door, but then Wei Wuxian pulled him back rather forcefully and he bumped into his chest – almost toppling them both to the ground.

"What the… what are you doing?" Lan Wangji quickly regained his balance and he shook off Wei Wuxian's hold on his hand like it was some kind of a pest.

"Are you angels really don't have any awareness ro your surroundings?" Wei Wuxian frowned as he showed Lan Wangji the small rune writings that indicated a barrier was erected there.

Yes, Lan Wangji did not see the small writing near the door because he was too flustered to be vigilant, and he wanted to smack himself in the head because of it.

The shame.

"Don't worry about it, mate, let's just take this off." Wei Wuxian rubbed a part of the runes off, and the barrier quickly disappeared before he opened the door. 

"After you." He bowed and waved Lan Wangji in, and Lan Wangji quickly entered while muttering something under his breath.

Wei Wuxian chuckled when he heard the words.

"You're welcome!"
