Wei Wuxian caught his breath but Lan Wangji’s face suddenly came closer and before he could react, Lan Wangji took his face in his hands and kissed him.

It took him a minute to understand what was going on, but he finally regained his wit and pushed Lan Wangji away.

“Lan Zhan! What are you doing?” He tried to calm himself down but it was to no avail. His heart was pounding hard, and he still caught what Lan Wangji said before he went and kissed him.

He saw how Lan Wangji’s eyes turned dark and dangerous, and Wei Wuxian thought that Lan Wangji must have found out about his identity as Yingying… or worse.

“Are you still trying to fool me?” Lan Wangji gritted his teeth in anger and Wei Wuxian didn’t know what to do or say except for denying everything.

“I don’t know what you mean, Lan Zhan.” He averted his gaze away from Lan Wangji but the latter took his face in his hand and forced him to look into his eyes.

“Don’t lie to me. I know that you planned to retire after this monster subjugation. And you didn’t even discuss it with me.”

Oh. That.

“Uhm, I planned to tell you soon, Your Majesty… Lan Zhan. It’s just that we’ve been so busy with… stuff…”

“Save your breath. I know you planned to leave quietly without even telling me about it.” Lan Wangji looked so hurt, it made Wei Wuxian suddenly rethink his life choices.

He knew that it was impossible for him to be near the Emperor anymore, especially ever since the pressure of the marriage from his vassals was getting more and more concerning. 

But it was also impossible for him to be with Lan Wangji in his female’s form. The best that he could be was just a lowly concubine, and he would not be able to live in confinement after all.

So far, leaving was the only choice that he had.

But the kiss…? Why did Lan Wangji kiss him?

“I–” He didn’t know how to respond, but one thing he knew for sure was that Xie Lian’s advice suddenly popped out in his mind, so he decided to screw it.

“Lan Zhan, forgive me for doing this, but I want you to know that I’ve been in love with you for so long, and I can’t bear to see you get married and have children while I can only watch from afar. It may be a selfish thing, but I’d rather leave than burden you with my…mpff…” 

Wei Wuxian’s monologue was cut by Lan Wangji’s kiss, and this time, it was different.

Lan Wangji’s kiss had a hint of desperation in it, like he was starving for so long, and he held himself back.

He started by licking Wei Wuxian’s lips, and opened it to delve into his warm mouth, and started to explore the inside while his hands held his waist tight and even pulled him closer until every inch of their body touched.

Ever since they made love yesterday, Wei Wuxian felt that every fiber of his being was responding to Lan Wangji’s touch like they were on fire, and he just couldn’t get enough. 

Lan Wangji continued his kiss and moved his lips to his jaw and to his neck, but he pushed him off.

“I’m dirty, Lan Zhan. You shouldn’t do that.”

Lan Wangji looked at him with his unfocused eyes from the lust, but he quickly composed himself and stood up – taking Wei Wuxian with him.

He dragged Wei Wuxian to the back of the mountain – which he knew like the back of his hand – and to a secret place that he found not long ago when he went out on his own.

“Wow.” Wei Wuxian was amazed to see the secluded natural hot spring that Lan Wangji brought him to, but the surprise didn’t last long, and it turned into n embarrassment.

“Lan Zhan, what…” His words stopped when he saw Lan Wangji started to take off his clothes and gestured to him to do the same.

“Do you want to do it yourself or should I do it for you?” Lan Wangji quirked his brow when he saw how Wei Wuxian was frozen in place.

Under the moonlight, Lan Wangji’s naked and perfectly sculpted body was glowing and he looked like an angel who descended from heaven – making anyone would fall in love with him.

Wei Wuxian quickly swallowed back his saliva and started to take off his clothes and quickly entered the hot spring to hide his erection. 

The warmth of the spring was nice and comfortable, and Wei Wuxian sighed in contentment when suddenly he was pulled closer to Lan Wangji and he started to continue what he did before they came here.

“Lan Zhan…” Wei Wuxian moaned. “Should we talk first?”

“Hmm…” Lan Wangji continued to kiss him and his hand started to roam Wei Wuxian’s body until he got a hold of his erection. “I think we should solve this first.” He took Wei Wuxian’s shaft in his arms and started to move to give him pleasure while his tongue was still inside his mouth.

Wei Wuxian’s legs gave out and Lan Wangji’s arm held him and pulled him into his lap.

When Lan Wangji entered his third finger, Wei Wuxian came apart in his hand, and he kissed him between the tears that he shed.

“Was it hurt?” Lan Wangji kissed Wei Wuxian’s cheeks and his wet eyes all over, and when Wei Wuxian shook his head, he lined his massive shaft into his opening. It caused Wei Wuxian to gasp, but he remembered what Xie Lian said about letting Lan Wangji sleep with him in his male form, and he took Lan Wangji’s face between his hands and kissed him back.
