Confusion

They made love until the dawn break, but when Lan Wangji opened his eyes, Yingying was not there beside him.

He could still feel the warmth from his side, surely she just woke up not too long ago, maybe to get water since they didn’t even have time to eat.

Lan Wangji smiled at the recollection.

Making love with Yingying was everything that he ever hoped for.

She was very sensitive and open to any kind of position, and she was willing to do everything to please him – just as he did.

He just wished that… well, anyway, it was just wishful thinking.

He stood up and took his outer robe, then he walked out the room to find breakfast was already prepared at the table – a bowl of mixed rice, a bowl of miso soup, rolled omelet, cold tofu, steamed eggplant with a dash of soy sauce and mirin and a pot of ocha that he loved. 

Of course it was just a small thing, but it was enough to make him suspicious.

These spreads were his usual breakfast at the Palace, and unless Yingying was a fortune teller, she should not know. He would not go as far as chalk it up to a coincidence or fate, since this was not the first time Yingying did small things that he guessed must be her unconscious gesture from observing him closely.

Lan Wangji didn’t know exactly when it started, but he had these unholy thoughts about General Wei ever since forever. 

He wanted so badly to peel those heavy armor off him one by one until he was naked, and then took him over and over and over again until he begged him to stop.

When he saw Yingying, he had the same urges that he only had for General Wei, so he wondered if they were the same person. 

Lan Wangji sighed and shook his head in disbelief. He wondered how he could think about such absurd thoughts like this, and he started to pour the tea while waiting for Yingying to come back. 

Because if she agreed, he would take her back to the Palace as his concubine, and he wanted to see if General Wei had something to say about it.

Meanwhile, the female Wei Wuxian was on his way to his best friend, the one who knew about his condition, and also his doctor.

He entered his house and found out that his best friend was drinking tea while reading a book.

When he saw him, he only quirked his eyebrow but he waved his hand to tell him to sit in front of him.

“Join me for tea.” He said with his calm voice.

“I need your help, Xie Lian. I… I don’t know what else I should do.” Wei Wuxian sat in front of the calm doctor and sipped the tea quietly.

“Is it possible to tell him that you can change your gender?” Xie Lian asked him the question that he asked him himself.

How in the world that he could change his gender at will?

“I don’t know.” He fiddled with the cup of tea. “I guess… not? I mean, human definitely can’t change gender at will, right? I didn’t even want to tell you if not because you caught me in the middle of transforming. Thank for being so chill by the way, you know, for knowing and keeping my secret.”

“Hmm…” Xie Lian observed him with his light hazel eyes that seemed to know the secret of the universe. “It’s nothing, Xianxian. But if I may suggest, you should start to talk to him about what you really are. Who knows, if he truly loves you, he would accept you just as you are.”

“Yeah well, I don’t know about that.” He then decided to tell Xie Lian. “I just slept with him, by the way.”

Surprisingly, Xie Lian did not look surprised at all. In fact he looked quite pleased.

“Good. Maybe you should try to sleep with him in your male form too, who knows if he likes you for you, not for your outer appearance.”
