THEO P.O.V
I shut the door and go back in the living room. Shailene wasn't sounding too good once I continued on the phone with her.
"How did she react to Ansel?" She asks.
"Surprised, I guess. They're getting along great. Are you doing well today? I'm sorry I wasn't there for your chemo."
"Ah, Theo I'm fine. Chemo was a but more painful than the first though. She went through my spine and vein." She explains.
I tensed up, then relaxing myself. "Do you want to go on a date, that just might take us back to high school?"
"Sure!" She says excitedly. "I'll call Veronica, and see if I can make some arrangements."
I agreed with her, hang in up the phone. And yes, Veronica was so trustworthy that we trusted her with all of our children. She wouldn't mind.
~Hours later~
I straighten my red plaid shirt. Oliver was sitting on the floor, and Carson Rae was getting frustrated at his toys. Belle- she was evaluating my outfit.
"Good enough?" I ask.
She clicked her heels. Her eyes twinkled. Holding her thumb upright, she smiled. "Awswome!"
Grabbing Oliver and Carson Rae, everyone trails out of the bathroom and goes into the living room. Veronia sits on the couch.
"Looking good, Theodore!" She lightly pats me on the back.
"Thanks! Um, Belle has already had spaghetti-O's for dinner, and the babies had the regular smushed peas and carrots."
"Great. We're going to have a great time, right kids?!" She smiled down to my children. Belle clapped, and Oliver and Carson Rae just stared blankly with drool hanging our their mouths.
Hugging the babies and my little toddler, I exit the house and drive to the hospital to pick up Shai.

SHAILENE P.O.V"This is surprisingly great!" Theo takes a sip of his margarita.
I swirl my straw around mine. "We shouldn't be drinking."
"Why is that?" He takes a sip.
"Because you know how we get." I tangle my hand into his.
"Yeah- a getaway would be nice, before you...uh," he coughed. "How's the margarita?"
I squint my eyes. "You tried not to say death Theo. I get it."
"I'm sorry. I just can't."
"Say it." I command.
"Before you die." He began to choke on his words. "Before you die, I want to do something."
His hand nearly lifts me up. People were standing glaring at us awkwardly. I focus on his eyes.
"What are you doing?" I whisper.
"Lights my good man!" He called out to the bartender.
The lights dim over our heads, and red spotlights dance on the walls. Indie music hummed in my ears.
"Before you die. I want to have my last dance with you." He finally says.
I nuzzle my head into his shoulder. we swayed and lightly rubbing each others upper bodies. Comfort, even in a greasy well dinning restraunt.
A couple that looked around middle aged, approached us with flowers. The woman stuck a daffodil in my hair, and the man grinned at us."Can you come home tonight?" Theo asked me, after the couple walked away.
"I'd have to ask my doctor. That's a lot of equipment to haul. "
"Our love is a huge haul." He rebuttals. "I would carry a ton for you."
Don't cry. I thought. Don't you dare cry.
Once we were done dancing, we payed for our dinner, then drove back- wait...home?
He made a sharp turn towards a beautiful mountain view. I gawk at the sight, rolling down my window to smell the fresh air. He takes a quick glance from the road, and beams his white teeth at me. The sun was at a peak over the climax of the mountain. Stopping at the side of the road, he pops open the trunk.
"Are you ready?" He says.
"I- sure." I get out with him to the back of the trunk.
The floor was covered in a blue and white Mandala printed blanket, and there were pillows sprawled all across the back seat. With the help of Theo's hands, I crawl in the trunk. He lies next to me.
I arrow my eyes to the cieling. Mini battery powered fairy lights. Taking my eyes back down, I stare at his lips. The mountain view was perfection, but the only thing I wanted to see was him. The trunk door hisses and closes. Straddling on his lap, and backing him against the back seat, I join in for a kiss. A long awaited one, at least.
Underneath my shirt, I feel his fingers crawling on my skin. How terrible it was to love something that Death can touch.
