There's a secret.
And now it's very simple. What marks the difference between someone with a strong relationship with God and someone who doesn't? It is what marks someone who grows and walks in their purpose and who does not.
I've written so much advice in here, yet my heart always breaks. People neglect this one secret, not so secret, and it often bothers my heart.
Do you spend time with God? Do you have a consistent place you call your secret place?
And I'm not talking about a physical room.
Check your daily social media screen time. Check your screen time in general.
We have come to an age where saying how we don't have time lost its validity.
Every day you get a choice and decision. You choose every day what to spend time with or not.
Listen, if Jesus came back today, you can go to heaven, but what for?
I read a quote that said how we are so excited to spend eternity with God.We preach about it, sing about it and even write about it, yet we can't even spend a few minutes with Him here. It's unrealistic that we want to spend the life beyond with Jesus yet don't want to spend even an hour with Him here.
What Jesus do you want to meet? What Jesus are you excited for that He waits for you each day?
Awaken yourself, sis. Stop sleeping. Jesus is more important than anything you could be currently indulging in.
I'm not talking about neglect, but I'm talking about prioties.
Whatever you're chasing right now. Whether it be friends, marriage, a job, or travel. That's so temporary. It's here, it's gone, and guess what? It comes with its layer of pain. Friends often mean more stress, marriage has conflicts, a job means constant work and stress, and travelling is fun, but it comes at a cost; that luxury life means more working and more paying.
Life will come with obstacle after obstacle.
Isn't it funny how we only remember God whenever things are wrong, then toss Him to the side when good things happen?
But no, sis, we want to be women of God who seek Him consistently, no matter what. No matter the season.
Reading the word and praying are our anchors in every season. Worship, speaking to Jesus, and resting in His presence is the one time you'll never regret.
In life, you'll have many regrets, but trust me when I say you'll never regret knowing, believing, receiving, and spending them with Jesus.
It can be challenging; you'll go through trouble, but the word hidden in your heart and those comforts straight from the Holy Spirit will empower you through the greatest of pains.
I invite you to the secret place. The place that is your true home. We often say heaven is our home, but we can experience a glimpse of heaven right here, with you and Him.
There He Wipes your tears. There, he encourages your weary soul. He'll speak the truth, He'll encourage. When you grow deeper, He'll reveal things to do, show you His burdens and concerns.
That's a level of friendship with GOD. Where it stops being one-sided. Where God sees that you care for Him. That you desire Him. That you want Him.
You'll never love God as much as He loves you. You'll never want Him more or desire Him more than He does for you.
But you can love Him with all your heart, soul, and mind, where spending time with Him doesn't just feel like a chore anymore but a delight.
To get to that place requires consistency and sacrifice. It means cutting out all those noises and distractions. It means stop hanging out with those friends. Stop focusing on that guy. Stop scrolling for hours. It means replacing the time you spend with a world that's fleeting, dying, etc. with Him.
In this world, you will get disappointed. Those friends, that guy, those things will disappoint you. They all will not because they are evil but because they are broken, just like you.
But only one person isn't broken. Only one person can't disappoint you. Only one person can never leave or betray you, and only one person loves you beyond anything.
So why not get to know Him?
