CHAPTER 1: A PRO HERO'S NIGHT OUT

After a long day at our agency, me and my friend Keigo were heading out of our agency to meet Britney and Ellie at the train station. "How's Britney and the little birdie?" Keigo asked as the two of us were walking towards the train station. "They're doing really great. The two of us are going to be meeting the two of them at the train station" I said as Keigo nodded his head when we arrived at the train station where Britney and Ellie were currently waiting for the two of us. "Hey babe" I said. "Hey love" Britney said. "How are you Britney?" Keigo asked. "I'm doing really great, thanks for asking Keigo" Britney said as the two of them hugged each other.

"Can you look after Ellie for us since the two of us got a reservation at the restaurant?" I asked when the two of us looked at Keigo. "Yeah, me and the little birdie are going to have some fun, aren't we?" Keigo said as Ellie babbled a little when Britney handed our daughter to the wing hero. "The two of us would be back later" Britney said as Ellie was clapping her tiny hands in excitement. "We'll see you later little mouse" I said as the two of us were walking away from the two of them. Keigo grabbed her tiny hand to help her wave goodbye as the two of us smiled a little.

The two of us arrived at the restaurant as we went into the building. The two of us sat down at a table after telling the waiter about the reservation. We really liked the vibe in here as the two of us are enjoying the dinner that we're having. After a while...the two of us left the restaurant to head home. As the two of us were driving home...we noticed an incoming car heading towards us and crashed into us...leaving the two of us severely unconscious.

After a little while...I slowly started to wake up in a bright room as my head hurts. Suddenly, I noticed that I'm in the hospital and then I managed to sit up a little as a doctor and the detective came into the room. "Ah...Mr Todoroki, how are you feeling?" the doctor said. "I'm fine except my head hurts a little. How's my wife?" I said. "I'm sorry to say this sir but your wife didn't make it" the doctor said as I was crying a little. 

"Are you going to get the person who did this?" I asked. "Yeah, we are and all of us are going to be starting an investigation on it as well" the detective said as I sighed a little in relief. "Your friend and your daughter are outside, do you want me to bring the two of them in?" the doctor said. "Yeah...please" I said. "I'll leave you to it and I'll inform your family of the situation" the doctor said as I nodded my head a little as the two of them left the room. 

Keigo came into the room with Ellie sleeping in his arms. "Are you ok? I heard what happened to the two of you" Keigo said as he came up to me. "I'm fine...I'm really sorry that I worried you Keigo" I said. "Don't say that at all Touya. So...how's your wife?" Keigo said. "Britney has died today" I said as Keigo gasped a little as he was crying a little since his best friend died. 

<TIME SKIP TO TWO DAYS AFTER I LEFT THE HOSPITAL>

Once I left the hospital, I was at home for a week so that I can get healed up a bit more before I go back to work. Which means I've got a week to look after Ellie. It's going really well as we were having some fun with help from Keigo and my family after all of them heard the news that my wife died in a car accident. 

Me, mom and dad were talking in the seating area, Natsuo and Fuyumi were outside as Ellie and Shoto were sitting on the playmat as the two of them were playing while Keigo was watching the two of them. "We're really sorry about Britney...I know she means a lot to you" mom said. 

"Yeah, she was a great person" dad said. "Thanks. It really means a lot" I said. "Does Ellie know about it" mom said. "No...she's too young to understand" I said as mom and dad nodded their heads.

Suddenly, Ellie got my attention when she wanted me to pick her up off the floor. "If you want me to pick you up, you just have to come here little mouse" I said as I made her pout a little. The three of us saw her do the most amazing thing. She got a hold of the table to lift herself up and she started to walk towards the three of us as Keigo was behind her. 

I got onto my knees as I was trying to encourage her to walk towards me some more when mom was recording the whole thing on her phone. Shoto did the same thing as he went towards our dad as well. Then all of us were celebrating this great achievement.
