CHAPTER 12: THE CALVARY BATTLE

{Ellie Todoroki}

"Allow me to explain...the participants will form teams of two to four people as they seem fit. In theory, it is basically the same as a regular playground game but there is one difference. Each player has been assigned a point base value based on their results from the obstacle race..." Midnight started to say.

I saw Kirishima shaking his head as I rolled my eyes at his reaction.

"Now then, points starts off in increments of five, starting from the bottom. For example, 42nd place is worth 5 points and 41st place is worth 10! And for 1st place is worth 10,000,000! Now, you have 15 minutes to build a team so I suggest you get started" she finished, now allowing all of us to pick teams as the timer started counting down.

All of my classmates immediately head to Bakugo and they were begging him to be on his team because of his quirk and results from the obstacle course.

"Wait, remind me what your quirks are again and your names!" Bakugo yelled.

"You're kidding me, we're your classmates" Ashido said with a shock expression.

"Bakugo...I was going to try Todoroki but he already picked a team so we should team up" Kirishima said as he waved at Bakugo.

"Hey dumb hair" Bakugo said with a bored face.

"My name is Kirishima and my hair is not that different from yours. Come on, you want to be the rider...right? So you are going to be needing a strong front horse who won't get hurt by your blasts" Kirishima said confidently.

"Hmmm, I need someone with guts" Bakugo said to Kirishima.

"My quirk was actually made for this, I got you covered man. Let's go charging into battle together. 10,000,000...bring it" Kirishima said to Bakugo.

Bakugo snarls with a creepy smile.

I'm actually freaking out right now since I was placed first. Suddenly, three people came up to me.

"Hey, it's Ellie Todoroki right? And are you currently looking for a team?" a boy said.

"Yeah, I am. And that's right" I said.

"Well...we could help you out" a girl said.

"Yeah" another boy said.

"You're in the other hero course class, aren't you? Remind me of your names again?" I asked.

"My name is Itsuka Kendo" Kendo said.

"Tetsutetsu is my name" Tetsutetsu said.

"Juzo Honenuki" Honenuki said.

"So...shall we win this?" Kendo asked.

"Yeah...let's do it" I said.

The timer goes off in the distance.

"Ohh goodie, it's time to get this party started" Midnight says stretching.

"Let's get this party started, one final countdown before the game starts" Present Mic yelled out through the intercom.

"Let's get her" Bakugo said, cracking his knuckles.

2...

"She's ours" Shoto said with a blank expression.

1...

"Begin!"  Midnight yelled out with a fling of her whip.

All of the other teams are heading straight towards my team in pursuit of the 10,000,000 points as I nodded towards Honenuki as he is softening the ground to sink the other teams.

"What! We're sinking already!" I heard Bakugo shout.

"Tetsutetsu! Kendo! Do it!" I said as they went into the defensive already.

"No way!" Midoriya shouted as his team were trying to think of a plan.

"Don't think for a second that you are safe!" Bakugo yelled out as he was flying through the air straight for us.

"You're in for it now!" I exclaimed.

I shot out a fire blast that is heading towards Bakugo as he was heading towards me.

"Hold on here, this is an unexpected turn other than Todoroki's class isn't doing so well, even Bakugo is losing" Present Mic announced while showing the results.

"Your class is to small minded, think bigger" a blonde boy from class 1B said as he took Bakugo's headband as we went to get another team's headband.

"He got us" Ashido said.

"What did you say? Come back here" Bakugo yelled out at the blonde that took his headband.

"Midnight said that the obstacle course was just the first game and we figured that they did not cut many of us right off the bat. Would they? Assuming they would keep at least 40 contestants for the next event, all that we need to do was to make sure that we stayed with that group as we ran. From our spots in the middle of the ranks, we could fully observe the quirks that our rivals had and judge their capabilities. Only a fool would obsess winning the preliminary rounds, would you agree?" the blonde boy said.

"You planned this as a class?" Bakugo said, really irritated.

"Kirishima, we have a change of plan. Before we take down the Todoroki girl, we're going to kill every last one of these B List idiots" Bakugo said angrily.

There was only 7 minutes left and it was still anyone's game. My team are doing really well as we were dodging attacks that has been thrown at us while we still got the 10,000,000 points. Bakugo just got his points back from the class 1B jerk and he is now in second place.

"First we are going after Deku before we go after the Todoroki girl" Bakugo said as he tied the headbands around his neck.

Meanwhile, Shoto's team has cornered my team with only one minute left of the game and Iida is showing off his secret move and I managed to do a secret attack to knock his team off course before they could get my headband.

"What!" Shoto said.

"Nice try Shoto!" I said.

"Time's up!" Present Mic exclaimed.

"And with that the second round is officially over. Now, let's take a look at who are the top four teams are" Present Mic said.

1st - Team Todoroki {Ellie's team}
2nd - Team Todoroki {Shoto's team}
3rd - Team Bakugo
4th - Team Midoriya

"These four valued teams will move onto the final round!" Present Mic said over the intercom.

The second round is over and now it is time for an hour lunch break. What's next in store for round three for the first years?

"You brough me here...now what?" Midoriya asked an intimidating me and Shoto.
