CHAPTER 21: ONE SIDED

{Ellie Todoroki}

I was lying on my bed in my room, thinking about something that was on my mind for a while when I didn't notice that uncle Hawks opened the door. "Are you ok little birdie?" Keigo asked as he entered my room.

"W-What?! H-Huh?! I'm not doing a-anything! I said as I was stuttering my words a little.

He tilted his head in confusion before he walked towards me.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Well...I kinda like this guy" I said as I looked down to my bed.

"Awww, has the little birdie got a boyfriend?" Keigo said, teasingly.

I playfully slapped him on his arm.

"Well, he is in the same class as me..." I started to say.

"Go on" Keigo said.

"...But I don't know if he likes be back" I said.

"If you really like him, try and confess to him. And if he doesn't, just wait until he does, ok" Keigo said.

"Thanks uncle Hawks" I said as the two of us hugged.

"Anytime little birdie. Don't take too long up here, ok" Keigo said as I nodded my head and he left the room.

<TIME SKIP A LITTLE>

I headed downstairs when I saw my dad doing the dishes.

"Hey dad" I said.

"Hey little mouse" my dad said.

"What's for dinner?" I asked.

"There's some chicken sliders and some chicken strips too" my dad said.

"Yeah and is it alright if I go round town for a little bit?" I said.

"Sure you can little mouse. Be back for dinner" my dad said.

I nodded in response and headed into my bedroom. I got changed into a red shirt with a silhouette of Hawks on it, black jeans and my blue converse. I put on my jacket and then I headed out the door. 

I started to head into the city as I need to get some things while I need to think about some stuff. 

'Ok Ellie, what is going to happen to me and Eijiro?' I asked myself after I got some stuff.

I really like him Ellie.

But he is just my friend.

'Grah! I don't know how to react!' I thought to myself.

I started to head home.

<TIME SKIP>

"I'm back" I said.

"Did you find the answer that you're looking for little mouse?" my dad asked.

"Huh? Yes and no since it's really complicated" I said.

"Keigo told me. And why is it complicated?" my dad said.

"I knew he would. But I am afraid of these feelings for him but I am also afraid of being rejected" I said, sadly.

"Awww Ellie, everyone is scared of being rejected but if you don't take that leap, you will never know what might have been. I was scared of being rejected when I tried to ask your mother out on a date" my dad said. Even Keigo agreed.

"You're right dad, uncle Hawks. If I want something to happen, I just have to take that dive" I said, smiling.

"Now, that's the spirit" my dad said.

The three of us are enjoying dinner together.

What am I feeling? I never felt like this before?

It is really hard to think right now so I will just go with the fact...my best friend might have a crush on me.

I...honestly feel the same right now. She is really cute, talented.

I walked downstairs as my head is looking at the floor.

I saw my mother at the counter, cutting up something when I entered the kitchen.

"Hey mom" I said as I announced my presence.

"Hey sweetie, what can I do for you?" my mom said as I leaned against the wall.

"Well, I kinda like this girl and I sorta kissed her on the cheek" I said as I blushed a little.

"Who is the lucky girl then?" my mom questioned.

"You kinda know her, it's Ellie" I said.

"Does my Eijiro have a girlfriend?" my mom is beginning to tease.

I felt my cheeks heating up as she is continuing to tease me about it.

Then I left the room as I locked the door behind me as I slid down it and held my head with my hands.

I do not know what these feelings are or what I can do about them.

I walking walking around my room, pacing back and fourth as I am debating whether to message Kirishima about my feelings or not.

'What can I do...I did not realize that I had kissed him the first time and he kissed me back! So what do I do!' I thought to myself.
