Chapter 18: Rank Examinations

It's been a couple of days since I met the Nova family and so far everything has been good it was mostly because in the Beginning they trusted me after saving their son and due to that trust they allowed me to work with them and that led to me being able to make my own creations. However, for some reason, I noticed how all of the Nova family inventions always end up breaking but when I looked more into it I found out that they were using such complex and hard tasks for the machines that they could do it and weren't strong enough so that was the reason they broke so when I told them this they said that they already knew but that they didn't have the money to buy any good resources so we just continued doing whatever we wanted for the remaining days.

But all good things must come to an end because Right now I was leaving the Nova house to go to the Ranking Examination. " Hey, Daewi good luck out there" I heard Merlin say as he gave me a smack on the back making me stumble out of the house "Hehe thanks man," I said as I walked down started walking down the path but then stopped as I then turned around. " Hey Merlin Here catch" I then tossed him a big cloth sack making him almost fall over when he caught it " What the heck! What is it" he asked me surprised suprsied at how heavy it probably was.

But instead of just replying I just started walking forward

" Just an Opportunity," I said as I continued to walk to the Guildhall where My adventurer life would begin 'Zenith c'mon' I called to him then out of thin air he appeared next to me but now he appeared a little bigger. ' You got it' he replied back as we then got onto the road and walked forward.

After about 30 min of walking me and Zenith both arrived at the guild hall and when We did we both saw Karik and Eli waiting for us at the front doors. "Aye, there he is the man of the hour!" Karik said while Eli just chuckled " He's still a kid captain" he said but was ignored as Karik came and gave me a bear hug squeezing the air out of me "Hey kid it's been a while how's it going " he while I all the air in my lungs and accepted my fate.

He then let go of me allowing me to breathe " Hah I'm doing good old man How has everyone else been and also Good to see you again to Eli" I said bowing to them " Good to see you too Daewi and everyone is doing fine but the girls do miss Zenith though" Eli said with a smile

" Now c'mon you two Daewi's got a Rank Examination to get to, " Karik said as he opened the doors of the guild hall. And when he did all 4 of us walked in and went to the Front desk where the Same lady as last time was. "Ah Mr. Karik and Mr. Eli and Mr. Daewi are you here to take the Rank Exam today," she asked as we got to her. " Yes I am," I said then after she wrote down some stuff she then sealed me for my name " OK now all I need to know is what you want to be known as" she asked making me think for a second before answering " How about Jade yea that's my adventurer's name Jade," I said. she then nodded and wrote it down on the clip board that she had and stood up from her seat.

" Ok then now that everything is complete just follow me please," she said as she then walked out of behind the desk and walked down a hall that led to the Exam area which basically was a Roman gladiator pit with seats on top of the walls. I also saw that there were at least 50 people in the Spectator seats. " Mr. Jade since you are the last one here, you will be tested last and also you can sit up there with the others until you are called on ok," she said as I nodded and walked up the stairs to the Watchers area with Zenith, Karik, and Eli. " You excited kid," Karik asked as he sat down next to me with Zenith behind me sleeping.

"Yeah also but also a bit Nervous" I answered making him laugh "Hahaha don't be kid cause With your strength I don't have a doubt that you'll be having any trouble getting high Rank," he said then stopped as we then watched the Exam's start.
