Chapter 20: Awakening

Daewi pov

1 month later

" 'yawn' Hey dad why did we have to get up so early today and just sleep for another hour" Zenith complained out loud with his newly acquired vocal chords he got last week " Well we could have but it's always better to get to places early to have more fun and relaxation period cause I'm not gonna lie after having to be around only elves the entire time for 2 years it made me miss how everyone else back home" I said rubbing the back of my neck as we continued to walk on the dirt road it the forest's

It's only been one month and so far nothing interesting has happened and we were thankful for that because we didn't want to have anything to do and just walk home to get some much-needed rest " Haaa listening to Nature and nothing else sure does make you feel relaxed doesn't it" I said as I looked to see Zenith sleepwalking and sighed but just Heard an Explosion in the distance making me turn to it and start to sprint while augmenting myself with mana " Hey Zenith wake up somthing's happening in front of us!" I yelled out to my bond/son who woke up and looked towards me then started sprinting along with me. 'Let's see what this is all about now' I thought as I increased my speed only to feel a Giant shaking in the ground making me stop and try to stand still "What the hell was that!" I said as the quaking stopped and I continued to run towards the area it was coming from.

3rd pov

After a minute of running Daewi got to where the quakes were coming from and when he did what he saw left him speechless 'Wh- What the hell is this and what happened' Daewi thought as he saw what looked like an opening to a Dungeon falling into a giant hole that was underneath it in the distance.

"Holy hell what the heck happened!" Zenith asked as he looked at the now crumbling Dengeon " Not sure but let's go check it out to see if there were any Adventures that might be trapped there" Daewi said as he started running towards the Hole in the distance with Zenith hot on his tail and when he got there he turned to Zenith " Zenith can you turn back into your Original form" he asked as Zenith nodded and back up and he grunted and shined for a second before revealing his true form which grew far larger but only large enough to carry about 4 people. " Hop on," he said and Daewi got on his neck and held onto his horns before feeling Zenith jump down into the hole before he started hovering down into the Darkness.

/Fast Forward/

After what felt like ages both Daewi and Zenith saw a light at the bottom of the seemingly endless hole " Yo Dad you see that too" Zenith asked "Yeah I do dive head first for a bit then open your wings" Daewi commanded as Zenith nodded and went head first to the light until they were about to be enveloped in it then open all of his 4 wings stopping them just before they both closed their eyes. 'Why again!' Daewi thought in annoyance at how much he gets blinded easily but that was overshadowed when he opened his eyes and saw a Giant underground forest with rivers and even some mountains. "Waoh," the both of them said as they glided through the upper sky underground which somehow had clouds but they were both cut off when they saw a massive explosion in the distance and then saw a beam of red shoot out which was headed right towards them " Watch out!" Daewi yelled as Zenith spun out of the way just in time " What the hell was that!" Zenith said out loud as they watched the beam hit just where they were and hit the side of the hole which made a Giant explosion surprising them. Still, they then shook it off and flew to where the explosions were coming from and when they got over a small mountain what they saw was a large River Village that had stone walls facing away from the river while being in an open area but they were still too far away from it so they couldn't tell what was going on yet.
