Chapter 9

Fire shot out towards the two women and they jumped out of they way, only to hide behind two large rocks.

"You think you can hide from me?" Sasori asked as he shot more fire out at them. There was a maniacal look to his face, and it kinda creeped you out. You shivered just by glancing at his facial expression. "Well? What are you going to do now?"

The intensity of the fire reached you and you ducked behind the rock. Your face felt high on temperature and you were sure there had to be at least some black smudges. The fire soon died down and you peeked over the rock again, only to see the girl jump out and throw a kunai at Sasori. He threw more fire at her as he hid behind another rock. The kunai didn't reach Sasori, it melted away with the intensity of the fire. The rock where the old woman was started to melt away. She jumped behind another rock and Sasori shot fire at that rock as well. He stopped shooting fire for a moment and both the women jumped behind the same rock. Sasori shot fire at that rock and they jumped out.

"Good bye you witch!" Sasori yelled at the old lady as he pointed his hand at her and shot fire. The woman covered herself with her hands and melted away. When she dropped to the floor, pieces of rock laid in her place. Substitution! You thought to yourself.

The woman landed on the other side of the lake of iron sand, opposite of Sasori. She attached chakra threads to the Third Kazekage puppet head and sent it at Sasori. He burned it away with ease.

"I figured as much," Sasori said as he jumped off from the wire and landed on the ground. "You attached chakra thread during our last go-around. But that trick won't work a second time. Too bad for you huh?" Sasori raised his hands once more and shot out more flames. "What's wrong? Don't wanna play?" Sasori asked as he stopped shooting fire and pulled his hands back. One of the scrolls on his back disappeared.

Chiyo and Sakura were still hiding behind the rocks, observing Sasori's every move.

"Alright then," Sasori mumbled and held his out again. This time, water with high shooting power shot out from the holes in Sasori's hands.

You watched as the water smashed into the rocks, breaking them away with ease. Sasori ran over to one side and got a little closer. His hand moved clockwise and the stream of water thinned down to a strip, which only gave it more power. The water sliced right through the rock and a cloud. You stared at the place where the cloud had been in disbelief. Well, that's something you don't see every day. You thought. Sasori swung his hands wildly, trying to hit the two women since they kept dodging. Your eyes widened when you saw a stream of water coming towards you. You flattened yourself against the ground. Luckily though, the stream of water looped over the rock you had hid behind, not causing it any damage. So he's still conscious that I'm here, good. You thought as you got back up and continued to watch. Another scroll on Sasori's back disappeared. You narrowed your eyes. He's down to two.

"How long do you plan to dance around?" Sasori asked the two women. In any other situation, you might've laughed at the question, but this a battle and there was no room for laughter towards an 'insult'. "Hmph. Fine, be that way." Sasori said as he shot the wire from his stomach towards the women. It headed straight towards the girl and scratched her on the side of her stomach. The wire stabbed into the ground and pulled Sasori towards the old woman. The blades on Sasori's back spun, like propellers, and made Sasori's speed towards the old woman increase. Your eyes widened slightly. Was he willing to kill his own grandma? The girl got up and ran towards Chiyo.
