"You carry him for a while," Kakuzu said as he stopped in his tracks. Hidan turned around and glared at him.
"Are you kidding me?" he demanded. "You're the one who keeps going on about money, you carry him."
You sighed. Here we go again. Kakuzu glared harshly at the jashinist and if looks could kill, he would be miles and miles under ground.
"I'll carry him grandpa," you offered while walking over to him. Kakuzu turned to you.
"I don't think you can," he told you. "The bounty collection office is still a ways ahead."
You crossed your arms. "Why wouldn't I be able to carry him? I'm strong enough you know. You need your strength as much as Hidan does. Plus, you've been carrying him since we left the temple." Kakuzu began to walk off with the monk still over his shoulder. You growled and turned towards Kakuzu, pointing a finger at him. "Fine! Leave me talking to myself you old man!"
Hidan laughed. "Don't get so worked up about it princess. He can carry that monk. After all, it's his 'precious bounty'."
Kakuzu stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder, glaring at you and Hidan.
"What?" you asked.
"I swear one of these days, you're both going to push me too far," Kakuzu stated as he began walking again. "And Hidan will take the pay."
"What?!"Hidan yelled. "And why the heck does it have to be me who takes the pay?!"
"You're immortal you dummy," you answered and sighed. "If I were to take the pay, I would die right away." You weren't sure but you thought you saw Kakuzu tense a little at the mention of you dying and Hidan flinched slightly.
"You're right," Hidan said. "In any case, let's go. I don't want to spend any more time than necessary on this bounty."
"Think someone might be looking for him?" you asked as you glanced at the monk.
"If any of those other monks from the temple come, then I'll chase 'em away," Hidan grumbled.
You sighed. "Haven't you killed enough already?"
"Sorry."
"Just shut up and keep walking," Kakuzu ordered. You complied and continued walking. Hidan kept making rude comments along the way.
~Time Skip~
"How much longer til we get there?" you whined from Hidan's back. "We've been walking for almost three days now!"
"We'll get there when we do," Kakuzu answered. You sighed and looked up at the sky.
"Hidan, you can put me down now," you told him.
"Rest enough princess?" he teased.
You smacked his head. "Shut up."
He put you down and you stretched your arms and legs. After that, you bent down and touched the ground. Your body was feeling way better after a little rest. You stood up straight and followed after the two men while removing your cloak. It sure was kinda hot here, even if you were surrounded by trees on every side and the shade provided a cool breeze. You placed the cloak in a small pouch on your waist.
"I'm sick of looking for jinchuuriki when we don't even have a clue where they are," Hidan said. "Put yourselves in my position. I've been forced to go along with all this extra work, a little sympathy would be nice."
"I sympathise you Hidan," you told him.
"Glad someone thinks like that," he said as he glared at the back of Kakuzu's head.
