You closed your eyes as the lightning coursed through your body.
"Rasengan!" your eyes shot open at the familiar voice and you saw a blonde boy hit one of the Hidden Mist ninja with his jutsu.
"Naruto," you whispered as the water whip around you disappeared. The pain left and you were no longer being tied down by the other water whip.
"You've got some nerve holding her hostage like that," Naruto said as he glared at the man holding Hotaru. From the corner of your eye, you saw Utakata get up. "Sorry if I kept you waiting," Naruto said and two other people, Yamato and Sai, came up behind him.
Sasori, no longer needing to worry about the Hidden Mist ninja, ran over to you. "Aiko, are you alright?" he asked with wide eyes.
You looked at him and smiled slightly. "Yeah, I'm fine."
Sasori placed your hand over his shoulder and jumped up onto the small cliffside beside Naruto. Utakata followed close behind after ripping the water whips away from himself.
As Utakata started talking to Naruto, Sai knelt down beside you. "Are you alright?" he asked.
You nodded. "Yeah."
"I'm gonna need you to let that girl go," Yamato yelled down to the man holding Hotaru.
"No!" the man answered.
Sai stood once again and got in position. He and Yamato jumped off.
"Alright if that's how you want it, then we'll just have to take her back by force!" Naruto shouted and made a hand sign. "Shadow clone jutsu!" a shadow clone of Naruto appeared and both Narutos jumped down. Sai made three paintings of lions and corner the Hidden Mist ninja. Naruto landed beside Sai and began talking to him. The man holding Hotaru made the same hand sign as before and the rain once again came down. The tiger/lions disappeared and Naruto's Rasengan vanished.
"It's a jutsu that dissolves any chakra it touches," Utakata called down to Naruto. "It's called Kirisame."
Naruto growled and ran at the Hidden Mist ninja. Sai's lions also charged at them.
"Stop it! Back off!" Yamato yelled. The two ignored him and continued on. The Hidden Mist ninja got their water whips ready. The one holding Hotaru sent his water whip towards Naruto.
"Naruto look out!" you shouted. Wood got in the way of the whip and Naruto fell to the ground. Utakata jumped down beside them and Sasori followed.
Hotaru got loose and ran towards Naruto and the rest. A water whip wrapped around her and pulled her back. The ninja that had been holding her before slammed his fist onto her stomach and Hotaru fell asleep. You stood beside Sasori and glared at the Mist ninja.
"What the heck do you think you're doing?!" Naruto yelled and stepped forward.
"Naruto!" Yamato called out. Naruto stopped in his tracks and turned to face Yamato. "Wait. Our team's on assignment; we've been charged with keeping that girl safe, please return her to us."
The Mist ninja didn't say anything.
"That's right!" Naruto continued. "Hand 'er over!"
"Naruto," you whispered as you stood with Sasori's help. "Let Yamato handle this."
Naruto looked at you with slightly wide eyes as Yamato talked with the Mist shinobi. "I didn't even ask. Are you okay, Aiko?"
You nodded. "I'm fine."
