Chapter 49

"Hurry and get to shelter!" you shouted at the fleeing civilians.

They were all able to get to the shelter, they weren't injured, so you continued to run around and look for anyone that might need help. You jumped onto a building and took a quick look around; you would be looking from the sky but you might miss a person or two. The place was a mess. Everything was destroyed. You came across a large building that was serving as a shelter for those who couldn't get to the hospital. This place is packed. You thought as you jumped down from the roof and ran on ahead. You stopped atop another building and stared down at a boy facing off against the Naraka path. He had brown hair, tan skin, and dark eyes. He wore a pale green jacket, blue scarf, brown pants, and navy blue ninja boots.

He was backing up until he backed up against a wall. Your eyes widened as the Naraka path sped to him and grabbed his neck. He's going to pass judgement. You thought as he questioned the boy about Naruto Uzumaki. I have to get to that boy. You thought but stopped once he disappeared. Shadow clone?!

The real boy came at the Naraka path from behind with a blue, chakra charged sphere in his hand. You recognized that jutsu. The Rasengan. He hit the Naraka path with it, and you knew that was it for the Naraka.

"I'm a genin, honored with the name of this village," the boy said. "My surname is Sarutobi, and my given name is Konohamaru! You will remember me!"

You smiled slightly. Guess I'm not really needed here. You thought and jumped off in another direction. A building crashed down above you.

"Wind style: Wind Blade jutsu!" you split the building in half. You landed atop a large stone that had no doubt been a building at one point. You suddenly disappeared in a puff of smoke and appeared with the other five paths and Konan in the forest. "Wha—?"

"What's going on?" Konan asked.

"I'm going to use that jutsu," Chikushodo(Animal Path) answered.

Your eyes widened and you looked toward the Hidden Leaf village. There was a black speck floating in the air above the middle of the village.

"You can't!" Konan said harshly. "If you use that jutsu, it will significantly shorten your life!"

Your eyes widened and you turned back to Konan as the four paths that had been standing fell to the ground.

"Konan," you whispered.

"The power of the six is..." she turned toward the speck in the sky. "You really mean to do this? Nagato."

There was a bright light that forced you to cover your eyes with your hand. A loud explosion erupted from the center of the village and the ground shook. You stared at a large cloud of dust that flew all the way into the forest from the Hidden Leaf.

"The Hidden Leaf..." you whispered. It's been... destroyed. You summoned a bird and jumped on it as it flew into the air. "Konan! Get to the real Leader!"

"Aiko! What do you think you're doing?!" Konan shouted.

"I'm only going to look from the skies!" you shouted back. "I promise I won't get in the way!"

Konan frowned but nodded anyway and jumped off to find the real Nagato. Konan, I don't know if I'll be able to keep that promise if the village is in danger. You thought as you flew high above the Hidden Leaf. You winced and grasped your shoulder. Damn, the pain's still there. You had probably dislocated a bone or two.

There were three giant toads among the debris. You squinted and focused chakra into your eyes. Your eyes widened. Naruto. There was orange around his frog-looking eye. Is that... Siege mode? You wanted to fly down there, to tell him to get out of there, but you didn't. The destruction caused to the Hidden Leaf was major. There was a great possibility that more than half of the people who weren't in the shelter had already passed on. You clenched your teeth and tightened your grip on your shoulder. It numbed and you didn't feel when your nails dug into your skin. You only became conscious of it when a warm trickle of blood flowed from the wound. Even then, you didn't stop the pressure on your shoulder as you watched all six paths of pain.
