Chapter 22

The sealing was finally done, the two tailed demon cat had been extracted. The chakra bubble around the female jinchuuriki disappeared and she fell to the ground. You watched as another iris appeared on one of the many eyes of the gedo statue.

"Now the two tails has been sealed away as well," Pein stated. "Only four more to go."

"Finally!" Hidan said.

"Let's go to the Leaf, Hidan, Aiko," Kakuzu said.

"What?" you asked.

"Kakuzu, Hidan, Aiko," Deidara called. You turned to him. "If you're really heading to the Leaf, a word of warning hm. There's a jinchuuriki there named Naruto Uzumaki," he looked at you as you listened intently. "Be careful if you run into him, hm."

"Oh is that right?" Hidan asked. You sighed. "So says the little weakling who failed so miserably, and had to have himself put back together by Kakuzu!"

"At least he didn't lose his head," you mocked.

"Better losing an arm than his head," Kakuzu added.

"What!?" Hidan yelled and waved a fist at you and Kakuzu. "Hey, who's side are you two on anyway? I thought we were partners. Partners are supposed to-"

"Shut up Hidan," Kakuzu ordered. "Let's go." His hologram disappeared and you followed after him.

You opened your eyes and stood. You heard Hidan complaining. "Hidan, you may as well stop whining about it."

"Shut up princess!" he yelled back. "I'm all stiff!"

"Well what did you expect?" you demanded, slightly annoyed. "Three days to seal a jinchuuriki without moving from our spot, I'm surprised no one attacked us."

"Exactly the reason why I'm ready to rampage," he told you. "Now, where's that cash cow?"

You clenched your teeth. "He's not a cash cow Hidan. He's a human being. And... we need to get you a new cloak."

"Hm?" Hidan turned around. "Hey Kakuzu! Where are you going? The collection office is over this way."

You sighed and started to walk after Hidan.

"What are you an idiot?" Kakuzu asked.

"Since birth grandpa," you said in a sing song voice.

Hidan growled. "What do you two mean by that?!"

"They're gone by now," you answered.

"They'll be expecting that," Kakuzu added. "Do you want to walk right into an ambush? No, this time we'll find a different way into the Leaf. Afterall, it's the jinchuuriki we want. Anyway, it's been three days and like Aiko said, the one with a bounty on his head will have been retrieved and most likely gone by now."

"Yeah," Hidan answered. "I suppose you're right."

He placed his scythe on his back and walked after you and Kakuzu.

"And another thing," Kakuzu said as he stopped and turned to look at Hidan. He reached into the sleeve of his cloak and you jumped into a tree.

"What are you doing? Hidan asked.

"That mark on your neck," Kakuzu started. "Is embarassing. Cover it up," he ordered and threw Hidan's headband at him.

Hidan caught it with one hand. "Hey, look at that. It's my headband! You went through the trouble of picking it up and keeping it for me? I'm touched. You're a pretty nice guy, Kakuzu you know that?"

"Shut up," Kakuzu ordered in an agitated voice. "Let's go. Kid, get down from the tree."

"Okay!" you called and jumped down.
