The three men jumped away from the girl as the other man jumped down. They stood across from you and Sasori, forming a sort of triangle with the girl and the other man on one side, you and Sasori on another, and them on the last.

"Aiko, you know what we have to do to the jinchuuriki," Sasori whispered, glancing from the jinchuuriki and the girl to the other four men. The four men got their weapons back. One them said something about a treasure and another used an earth style to sink into the ground and travel towards the jinchuuriki.

"Acid flower," the jinchuuriki pulled out some sort of bubble bottle and blew bubbles at the men. Everything the flowers touched burned away and you jumped into the trees followed by Sasori. The jinchuuriki picked up the girl bridal style and jumped away.

You clenched your teeth and took off after the jinchuuriki and the young woman.

"Brat! This doesn't concern us!" Sasori shouted.

"We can't let them get hurt!" you called back. You noticed the other four men following. You growled and jumped backwards on the branches. "Wind style: Wind Blade jutsu!" you swung both your hands horizontally in front of you. Invisible blades of wind shot forth and sliced the branches. The men jumped away, trying to avoid the blades from wherever they might be coming from. One got their cheek cut and another their arm injured.

They began to speed up and move around the jinchuuriki while making some hand signs. Your eyes widened. A sealing?! You didn't know, but it certainly did look like a sealing. You turned to Sasori.

"I know," he said and held his hand out in front of him. Chakra strings attached to the jinchuuriki and pulled him back.one of the men threw a kunai with a paper bomb. You summoned a bird and swooped into the ai with Sasori, the jinchuuriki, and the young woman. The bird flew away at a fast rate.

You looked at the woman. "Are you alright?"

She looked up at you as she held onto the bird. "Yeah, thank you."

You nodded. "Don't mention it. We were already there, so we figured we might as well help you."

"Where did you come from?" the jinchuuriki asked as he sat at the back of the bird.

"Uh..." you looked at Sasori. His eyes told you not to tell. "That isn't of any importance really. You shouldn't worry about that."

The jinchuuriki didn't seem like he was okay with that answer, but he didn't question it anymore.

~Time skip: Sunrise~

You had been flying all night and into the early hours of morning. The girl was asleep and the jinchuuriki looked after her. Sasori sat back to back with you and you finally thought this was a good enough distance.

"We should land now," you called back as the girl began to wake up. "I'm gonna run out of chakra unless we do so."

They nodded and you swept down into the forest. There was a small river so you landed there, maybe the girl wanted to clean up.

"I thought I was done for," the girl told the jinchuuriki as you and Sasori looked around.

Your eyes landed on the river and you walked over to it. Sasori stayed close by you, you could tell he didn't want to have to refix his puppet body anytime soon. 'I trust you to keep her safe.' That was what Konan had said. You giggled as you cupped some water in your hands and splashed it on your face.

"... It's because I've become quite curious about this forbidden jutsu they keep talking about," the jinchuuriki said. You turned your head toward him and slowly stood, turning your body to face them fully.
