Atop a tall cliff, towering above the green forest, facing the sunset, stood ten figures. They were dressed in black cloaks with red clouds. These people are known as the Akatsuki.
"One month," the raven haired Uchiha murmured, his eyes not once moving away from the setting sun.
"A very long month," the silver haired jashinist agreed in a low voice.
"And it's finally time," the red haired Uzumaki added.
It had been one month since they'd seen the girl. The girl that changed them, the girl that managed to bring light into their dark world. "It would be best if she stayed here, at least until she fully recovers," Tsunade had told them. They had decided to leave the Hidden Leaf so they wouldn't cause any problems.
"She's finally coming back," the read headed puppet master murmured.
Two of their members were missing; a loud bomber, and a hard headed teenage girl. While they awaited their return, the members of the Akatsuki thought back to their time with Aiko.

"We're not tied by anything, not by blood, not by anything else. We're not related, why would you go so far as to save me?"
"That's the thing Itachi, I don't care if we're related by blood or not, you're still my brother. Whether you think of it the same or not, I consider us all... never mind."
"What do you consider us?"
Itachi now realized what she wanted to say. Family.

"Why is there hatred in this world? Just curious is all."
"Well, I think it's the thirst for power that leads people to hate each other. Why?"
"I was just wondering... thanks Kisame!"
Kisame stared at the horizon. She started to show so much concern for this world.

"Kid... I want you to get out of here, now."
"No way am I doing that."
"You fool-"
"Listen I'm on this mission with you... And I won't let it fail."
Hard headed as always. Kakuzu thought.

"I'm gonna ask you something, and you have to answer truthfully."
"Okay..."
"Can I trust you to always catch me?"
"Of course you can. I'll always catch you when you fall."
Hidan smiled. I will keep that promise... forever.

"Sasowee!"
"What is it?"
"Can I watch you work on puppets?"
"Yes. Just don't mess anything up."
Sasori smiled.
"Thank you, Aiko...For saving me and for giving me a chance to speak with my grandmother."
