"Aiko."
Your eyes traveled to the silhouette standing in the shadows of the trees. The only thing visible, were the shining, crimson red eyes.
"Itachi," you replied.
"Is that your brother?" Inari asked. "Wait, he called you Aiko. That cloak... you're Akatsuki?!"
"Yes, that's my brother. I lied about my name being Yn, I'm sorry. And yes, I'm part of the Akatsuki," you answered.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Inari demanded. "You must've lied about being Naruto's friend too!"
"I didn't lie about that," you told him. "The only thing I lied about, was my name."
"You still lied," Inari said as he stepped back.
"I think it's best you go, Inari," you told him and stepped toward Itachi. "We might be seeing each other some other time, or this might be our first and last encounter."
Inari didn't say anything and only ran away. You sighed.
"Let's head back Aiko," Itachi said. You nodded and walked beside him. "Why did you run off?"
"Don't act Itachi," you told him. "You must've heard it. Everyone in the hideout must've been able to hear it."
"Yes, you're right," Itachi answered slowly. You narrowed your eyes slightly and looked at him out of the corner of your eyes. What's up with him? Isn't he gonna try to lecture me?
"If you were sent, that means they sent you for a reason," you began. "Why did they send you instead of Konan or Deidara?"
"Konan had to go somewhere and Deidara left a little after you did," he answered. You nodded and walked ahead of him a little.
~No one pov~
As the girl walked ahead of him, Itachi's hand started to glow a light blue. Now, you pathetic little girl, I will be taking you. And there's no one here to help you, Aiko. Slowly, he brought his hand up to her back.
Aiko glanced at him out of the corner of her eyes. The man that came to get her was smiling maniacally. She ducked as his hand came flying at her upper back and back kicked him in the stomach. He went flying through three trees before finally crashing into a large rock and sliding down to the ground.
"What is your problem girl?" he asked as he coughed slightly and struggled to stand.
"I should ask you that," she narrowed her eyes. "Itachi. Or should I even call you that, you filthy snake."
He frowned. "'Filthy snake'? What are you talking about? It's me, Itachi."
"No, you're not Itachi," she told him and stood in a defensive position. "You might be wondering how I figured it out," she started as the man's transformation jutsu receded. The once raven black hair turned a silver grey color, his pale skin tanned and the red eyes were now black and glasses rested on his nose. "I knew you weren't him because of your chakra signature. You did well in making your chakra as similar to his as possible, but I can still tell the slight difference. Besides, the real Itachi is on his way here right now." The man growled as he glared at her. "So you see, I'm not as naive as I might appear to be. I knew full well that you weren't Itachi from the moment I saw you."
He smirked. "So you knew all along huh?" a dry laugh escaped him as he leaned his hand against the rock. "That doesn't change anything. I already have what I needed from you," he said and held up a strand of hair.
