Later that day Fatima was done working and came to pick up Zyla from her mother's home. They were sitting in the living room when Shayla walked in.
"Daddy why you leave everytime we're all in the room together" Shayla ask Damian rose from his seat on the couch.
"Is that a real question?" He asked laughing "I love you though sweetheart" he says kissing her temple and walking out of the room
"Was this a planned meet up?" Shayla ask leaning over hugging her mother and then walked over to hug Fatima as well.
"No I was just about to tell mommy about this call from Zac, thinking he can talk to me any kind of way" Fatima says and Melanie looked at Shayla subtly then back at Fatima.
"What you mean? What happened? Well wait where are the girls" Shayla asked
"They're downstairs, your father is trying to turn that back room into some sort of trampoline room. I don't know" Melanie says flagging her hand
"Oh good tire them out" Shayla says "Now back to Zac, y'all got to arguing?" She ask
"Nobody is arguing with him. I told him last night that he and I are going to stick to the regular days that he has Zyla because apparently he can't keep his word which is nothing new" Fatima says
"Well what happened this time?" Shayla ask
"He called me trying to get Zyla, I said okay well call mommy because she has her. And that he did and said he was going to come get her." Fatima began to explain
"He didn't show up? " Shayla asked
"He did not! Then he lies to mommy saying he had to take the b- girl to the hospital so he didn't come. Then came to get Zyla this morning" Fatima continued
"I told Fatima I don't think the boy was lying but she's knows him better then we do I presume" Melanie says
"My issue is you don't show up, then you lie to my mother and THEN after I tell you stick to your days, you decide to go get Zyla like just disregarding everything I said" Fatima spoke roughly "AND THEN! He calls me talking about I'm bad mouthing him to Zyla and this and that-
"Bad mouthing him how?" Shayla ask and Melanie listened for the answer as well
"I guess Zyla went back and told him I've called him a liar. Which she probably heard me say but I'm not sitting with Zyla and talking crazy about him. I wouldn't do that and he went off" Fatima tells them
"You need to be cautious about what you're saying around her, you know kids repeat things and that girl's ears perk up at the sound of her father's name" Melanie says
"That exactly but what you mean he went off?" Shayla asked
"It doesn't even matter. I guess he got some energy to finally call my phone because he didn't even call me to let me know he took Zyla this morning but had much to say about me calling him something that he is" Fatima says
"Well what did he say was wrong with the girl even though who gives a - " Shayla caught herself while she looked over at her mother before she let the profanity fly off of her tongue
"He told me he had to take her to the hospital and she was bleedin-
"That's what he told her. As a lie to cover himself because he told her he was coming to get Zyla and didn't show up" Fatima says
"I wouldn't lie about that" Shayla says
"And that's what I'm trying to tell her, and I get he has told his fair share of lies but when I was talking to him I know he wasn't lying about that. He actually looked upset about it" Melanie explained
