Fatima exhales as she knew exactly who she was looking at.
"People stare when you're pretty baby"Fatima says
"I know I'm pretty" Zyla says confidently
"Yes you are. You're beautiful" Fatima tells her. She looked at Alaysha as she turned her head. Alaysha just so happen to be getting her nails down at the same nail salon.
Fatima used the free hand that the nail tech wasn't working on to pull her phone from her pocket. She hit her sister's contact and rested the phone on her shoulder as she pressed her ear to it.
"Hello?" Shayla answered
"The devil is playing tricks with my brain right now" Fatima says laughed and Shayla joined in
"Why what happened? Yall still at the nail salon?" Shayla asked
"Yeah we're almost done and then I'm going to take Zyla out to eat" Fatima says "That girl is in here and Zyla said she was staring at her." She adds
"She's what? The girl that sent you them pictures?" Shayla asked
"Yes I'm looking right at her." Fatima says
"Does she look pregnant?"Shayla ask
"I can't tell and I don't give a damn. Let's pray she got better sense in public than she does on instagram" Fatima says
"Just say the word and I'll make my way" Shayla says
"Shayla, if she knows what's good for her she won't even part her lips to saying anything while I have my daughter" Fatima says
"You know hoes ditsy, especially them desperate ones" Shayla says
"And she'll be desperately crying for help. That better be the farthest thing from her mind" Fatima threatened
"The last thing we need is some story posted about you and how you can't control yourself and how you're the bitter babymother. Then God forbid, if things go south with Zachary with custody for Zyla, he might try to use that against you." Shayla explained
"He would never be able to get her. He would not win, he ain't that damn stupid" Fatima says
"I'm just saying, just ignore the bitch. She was a secret for a reason if that's the damn case, nobody getting their little fifteen minutes of fame off of you" Shayla says "and has he even mentioned it or did you say something?" She ask
"He didn't, he called to talk to Zyla and she didn't want to talk to him. He said something stupid and the conversation was over" Fatima explained recalling the phone conversation with Zac.
"If it's true it'll come out. I would hope he has some decency to come to you first before you find out from social media" Shayla says
"We'll see but I'll call you when we leave here" Fatima says before they end the call.
"Mommy I'm hungry" Zyla says with her hands in the dryer
"As soon as we're finished here, we're going to get something to eat" Fatima tells her "What do you want to eat?" Fatima ask
"Tacos!" Zyla shouted excitedly and Fatima laughed
"You waste tacos, you sure that's what you want?" Fatima ask
"Mmmmm I don't know" Zyla says
"Well you think about it and let me know. Something you're going to actually eat" Fatima emphasized and Zyla knew to think harder. Zyla had a colorful palette. She wasn't scared to try new foods and she, unlike a lot of kids, eats her vegetables without being asked to.
