Once leaving his parents home, Zac headed to his house. He spent some time just sitting in silence. Eventually Alaysha decided to come over and he didn't protest. He hadn't shared what transpired with his day even though she consistently asked him what was wrong based off of his dull energy. He told her he was cool countless times and she went about her business. She ended up taking a nap in the bedroom while he sat on the couch downstairs.
"What's good?" Zac says answering the phone for Dev who was calling.
"Nothing man what's good with you? I was just checking on you" Dev says and Zac exhaled
"Man the day I had, I don't know. I'm just in here chilling" Zac says
"What you mean the day you had? What happened?"Dev asked
"T called the cops on me"Zac simply says
"Damn for real?" Dev asked in disbelief "That's probably what ya pops was talking about" he adds
"You talked to him?" Zac asked
"I went over there to get those lemon cookies ya moms make that I love" he says and Zac laughs
"Fat ass" Zac says " You lucky she met your pops because if not I would've been ya pop" Dev joked
"Aye nigga what I keep telling you? Make me knock you the fuck out" Zac says and Dev laughed. Dev always found Nicole to be attractive especially at her age. He would always playfully flirt with her as if she didn't consider him as another son of hers.
"I'm just bidding but real shit, you already know Mama Taylor-
"Ard nigga" Zac cuts him off
"My fault back to you" Dev says laughing "No but real shit? She called the cops?" Dev asked
"Yeah man. I got Zyla from school after she told me I couldn't. I was hot yo." He honestly expressed
"But I was tripping, she was calling and I didn't answer. She reported her missing or kidnapped some shit like that" Zac tells him
"Your brain needs to be studied because how do you think to do some dumb shit like that" Dev asked shaking his head on the other end of the phone
Meanwhile Alaysha had woken up from her nap and was making her way downstairs to get something to drink. She faintly heard some of his conversation but was too far in distance to catch all the details. She went to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water, standing in the kitchen to drink some of it.
"She knew she was with me and she did that shit. I would've never expected her to take that shit that far as to call the cops on me. My pops answered the door and they talking about they here for me. Then I seen her in the car down the driveway" he explained which made Alaysha sit her water bottle down abruptly.
"That's what ya ass get. Nigga they say don't mess with a momma bear's cub. She should've attacked your ass"
Dev says laughing
"I know I was wrong for that shit but I'm still mad asshit she did that. Females crazy man" Zac says
"You talk to her?" He ask
"Naw I'm going to let everything cool down and hit her up. I was talking to my pop and... " he exhaled out
"I just got to get all this shit situated" Zac says breathing out as he rubbed his face with one hand. He didn't want this kind of friction between him and Fatima, he did understand the mistake he made which caused all of this to happen as a domino effect. He understood every word his father said to him but did it truly register is the question.
"I knew T could tap into that crazy side from that one time she cursed ya ass out real bad at the studio" Dev says steady laughing
"Yeah she crazy at the mouth but calling the cops on me like that was wild" he says and Alaysha had been listening for the last few minutes of the conversation. She quickly realized his mood was because of what happened with Fatima.
