I see your soul behind those brown greenish eyes,
How it cries behind your smile.
A mask is looking at me but I see your face behind it.
The mask starts to crumble
Feelings start to tumble
I see you saddend eyes, the bags dark under your eyes, red puffy eyes.
I hear it when you sigh
I can see through your coloured lies
I see you for who you are.
Just the same as me I think.
So much that it forms a link
I see you spacing out in lectures
I see you trying to hold on so desperately to the things you can control and are inside your reach.
Like bird that loudly screechs,
But fell on deaf ears to the people who mistaken it for singing.
My heart stings thinking about it.
Your eyes they plea with me.
I am looking into a raging sea.
Your shoulders stiff, hands balled to a fist, just afraid something to be amiss.
To lose control of everything at once and going paralysing numb
I want to hug you tell you everything is going to be okay. I will be with you on this way.
I go with you through mud, water and fire with a burning desire.
To let you breathe a breath of air.
While I watch you free yourself of despair.
See the smile reach your eyes.
So bright like stars will shine.
So be sure that I will sacrifice everything to take your pain and put back some shine in your eyes.
So cry no more tears when I am not there to hold you.
Just breathe in and out and then go.
Let go of controlling.
Let it be free if it returns to you it was always yours.
