It took a while to realize that the anger I tried to brew was buried by the fear he brought upon me. I speak what he wants, but it felt weird since the thing he wanted to hear was just me walking through hallways after hallways without an end in sight.
But when I told the story where I met a worker who stood in the hallway and then ran away, he stopped me, asking, "What did the worker look like?"
"I couldn't see his face. He was far away." I said, making sure that my expression is calm enough to be remarked as truthful.
"Clothes?" He asked.
"He's wearing a lab coat like Derrick." I stated, "He has very dark brown hair but not black."
He nodded then stood up after hearing the extended story telling session from me with an indecipherable face. I couldn't tell if he'd approved of my explanation or unsatisfied with what he got, but I could certainly tell that there's worry in that expression.
"Is something the matter?" I asked as he opened the door, stalling so that I could look out through the opened door.
I was excited at first but then disappointed as I saw nothing but the boring white wall of this place.
He answered, "If you see a worker trying to get in, shout and alert us immediately. He's trying to kill you."
There was hesitation behind those eyes, as if I'm not supposed to know that. It sounded like he's trying to warn me of the traitor in their crew, but trying not to reveal something else.
After all, I was, again, left in the room with all the lights shut off. I shut my eyes and then drove myself off into a sleep.
I was sleeping soundly, when a noise woke me up. A noise close to the fall of a needle onto the ground, it echoed for a while then stopped.
I could see nothing, nothing other than the dark void black. However, things changed immediately by the next blink, after the echo stopped, the world brightened up and provided me with my vision to view everything in the room.
Everything in the room, except there's nothing other than a door here. This place looked like the cell I was locked in except it is smaller and duller. There's not even an observation window of any type. I wondered if they'd moved me to another room, since they wanted to keep me contained and protected at the same time.
I walked towards the door after exploring the room briskly and finding nothing captivating, sentiently stepping towards it as if there's a trap awaiting my arrival. When I raised a hand to knock as accustomed, I paused, thinking if knocking is even necessary in places like this.
Then, I pushed the sliding door open. I flinched as I staggered back in shock, surprised that it wasn't locked properly.
After the door opens, it reveals a world of nature on the other side, green grass spread across the ground. Trees were everywhere and flowers scattered all around the forest. A heavy flower scent filled in the room, covering the dullness instantly.
This is a dream, I thought.
I took a step out the door, taking each step hesitantly. After I was far enough from the cell, I ran off into the forest wildly, running freely though I was aware that this is just another dream.
From afar, I could see a house standing vaguely a few miles away. I squinted my eyes and perceived that it's a lively small house in the middle of the forest strangely. I sprinted towards the house, more precisely, running back to my house.
I didn't care what dangers are waiting since this is a dream and that I'll wake up to my unharmed body eventually. I pushed the front door open regardless of the weirdness of this dream. My house is not located in a forest nor was it any close to nature, and the dreams I've had recently were all related to nature.
