I take a bite out of the chocolate cookies, the sweetest thing I'd tasted in my life. It feels like paradise, it feels like heaven.

I leaned back on the couch as my gaze slid out of the window of the yacht. Watching the sea waves fight each other, feeling the briny smell of the ocean in my lungs, the warm sunlight wrapping an invisible hot towel around my bare arm.

I hear the chirping of the seagulls that had landed on the yacht, traveling with us. The sunlight was reflecting off the sea water, allowing it to shine like a sea of gold. I feel like I'm in a realistic painting, in a movie, in a dream.

I'm smiling, I'm smiling again. I'd been staring out the yacht's window for hours every day, admiring nature's view. It never gets old, I never feel boredom as new things pop out in the view and I can't ever stop watching the waves dance since they don't stop.

"Crystal," I heard Ayven calling my name, the same joyful tone he'd been using since I ended the battle, "Breakfast's ready!"

My head flicked towards where I smelled toasted bread, if I hadn't recognized it wrongly, I tossed the cookie in my hand into my mouth.

"A moment," I responded back to him. Peeking out of the window, I glanced down at the vague silhouette of the fishes swimming by, aroused by my shadow hovering over them.

I grabbed another cookie from the jar, breaking it into small pieces and dropped it into the water. The fishes fought for every crisp of it, pushing against one another to get to the food.

I know we have limited food supplies, but I love feeding these adorable and clueless animals.

I got off the couch and strolled towards the dining table where he'd already laid out the food and cutleries. I see bread, eggs, the usual canned food and orange juice.

I searched around the front and back deck, "Where's Mike?"

He pulled the chair before me out, gesturing for me to sit, "He says he's dealing with some technical issues, won't eat until he's done with it."

Mike, someone I met after escaping the facility. He's a trusted friend of Ayven, they both shared an extended bond which sounded like a lifetime full of stories together, but the two of them won't tell me about their friendship. Mike says he'll spill some secret after we get off this boat, but I can't wait that long without some spoilers.

He's a pretty cool person to hang out with. I'm relieved he never mentioned the creature I am, allowing himself to treat me as a human being. He skipped the questions involving my powers, and headed straight for asking how I am feeling, if I am hurt, and if I need anything.

Mike is a good friend, even without knowing how the two of them became friends, I understand why Ayven regarded him as a trusted companion.

He is also the first person to become my friend after I became the creature I am.

Before Mike, there were few others who came close to becoming my friend. They were my friends, but after the facility exploded, I'm unsure of their well-being.

According to Ayven, when I was massacring the facility's guards and soldiers, he'd run as far as he could to the other side of the island. There, he saw fleeing boats remarked as emergency transportation. He was unsure who they were but he can confirm there are survivors from the facility's incident, which meant that news about me and the facility are probably being spread, unless the ones who escaped are Kaysen and his men working who'd sworn secrecy of this facility.

I hope Sepehr and the other subjects were on that fleeing boat. I hope they, who'd survived for so long in the facility, get a chance to see the sun shining bright again.
