Clarke, Octavia and I, along with Lexa and the entire Grounder army, had been walking for hours. It was getting darker and we all needed to rest, so everyone set up camp in a clearing close to Mount Weather.

I walked over and sat next to Octavia. "Hey, warrior," I said to her with a smile.

"Hey, brother lover," she grinned. I rolled my eyes.

"Wow, how original. Don't go saying that too loud, I need to actually tell him first," I said, bumping my shoulder against hers.

She giggled as she used a rock to sharpen her blade. I pulled out a knife as I did the same. We sat around the fire we had made, just small talking as we finished up with our knives. I still had the rifle on me, so I checked it over and made sure it was still in tact.

Clarke walked up and sat across from the two of us. "Everything okay?"

"I've been going over it and over it in my head, just trying to figure out how you're still alive," Octavia said, looking to Clarke.

I frowned at the statement. She didn't warn them about the missile?

"What are you talking about?" Clarke deflected instantaneously.

"I saw you in Tondc before the missile hit. I know you, Clarke. Something's wrong. And then, you and Lexa disappear and just happen to survive? Tell me you didn't know it was coming," Octavia said, her anger focused on the blonde.

"Octavia..."

"Clarke, how could you?" I asked, my anger now rising.

"You let all those people die. You were gonna let me die," Octavia stood as her voice began to rise.

Clarke stood quickly. "Hey. I did it to save Bellamy. So that we could win this war. Don't you see that? If we'd evacuated Tondc, Mount Weather would have known that someone tipped us off. They would have found your brother," Clarke explained to my dark-haired best friend.

"No, Bellamy would have never told you to do that. He would've found another way," Octavia exclaimed, anger radiating off of her.

"I couldn't take that risk," Clarke said quietly as she shook her head.

"Right. Because you're in charge now, and you decide who's disposable. You'd have fit right in on the Council," Octavia hissed out before storming away.

I stood quickly and followed after her, Clarke right behind me.

"Hey, Octavia," Clarke said as she grabbed onto Octavia's arm.

"What?" she hissed when she turned.

"You guys can't tell anyone," Clarke started, looking between the two of us. "If people found out that we-"

"The alliance will break. We're not idiots, Clarke," Octavia snapped.

The two stared at each other for a moment before Octavia turned, tugging me along with her. Lexa had been behind us, listening to the conversation unfold.

"Commander," the two of us said in unison.

"Octavia. Stella," Lexa replied, nodding at us.

"It's time for the southernmost guard post rotation. You two should relieve them," Lexa's guard says to us.

"Indra expects me to be on the scouting mission, with Lincoln," Octavia tried to reason.

"And now you're needed at the guard post. Indra will join you there shortly," the guard said again.
