"Come on, Stella, let's go!"
The plan we had come up with was try to get in through the door in the Reaper tunnels. I didn't know if it would work, but I was desperate to get our friends back. To get Bellamy back.
"I'm coming!" I snapped as I ran, holding tightly to the gun's strap that was somehow still around my torso.
We approached the door quickly, stopping in our tracks as we rounded the final curve and Octavia stepped out of the shadows.
"Octavia," I sighed in relief, rushing to hug her.
"You stayed," Clarke said when we pulled apart.
Octavia rolled her eyes and turned back toward the door. "Screw you," she hissed, turning around and then turned back to face Clarke. "Of course I stayed. I know where my loyalties lie."
"We have to get in there," Clarke rushed towards the door.
Octavia grabbed her arm and stopped her. "If that was possible, do you think I would still be out here?"
I walked over and looked in one of the bins, gasping when I saw Fox lying motionless inside. I put my hand over my mouth in shock. I stepped back before I got sick, not wanting to see my friend like that any longer.
"Why did Lexa sound the retreat?" Octavia asked.
Clarke looked at her with a huff before storming away. "She made a deal with Mount Weather. Freed the Grounders. Now we're on our own."
Clarke began pounding on the door, making a loud banging noise sound through the tunnel. I rushed over, gripping her hand. "Stop, Clarke! They'll know we're here!"
"What about Lincoln? There's no way he'd have gone along with a plan like this," Octavia said as she glanced between the two of us.
"He didn't. They took him," Clarke responded before pulling out her pistol and aiming it at the control panel beside the door.
"What's wrong with you?" Octavia said quickly as she grabbed and pushed Clarke's weapon down.
"I am getting through that door!"
"And that's your plan? Bellamy's counting on you. Everyone is always counting on you!" I finally snapped, anger radiating off of me.
"Well, what do you two want from me?!" Clarke rose her voice in matching anger.
"You trusted Lexa! You let a bomb drop on Tondc. You let all those people-"
"I am doing the best I can!" Clarke cut Octavia off.
"Yeah, well that's not good enough."
Clarke stared at me for a second before the door beeped, then opened, all of us aiming our weapons at the opening.
I almost cried at the sight of the head full of curly brown hair that I loved so much.
"Bellamy," Octavia said in relief as she hugged her brother.
I waited for the two of them to part before I rushed Bellamy, grabbing him into a hug. His arms wrapped tightly around me and he buried his face in the crook of my neck, inhaling softly.
"Bellamy," I whispered, my voice cracking.
"Shh, it's okay. I'm safe," he said softly, leaning back to look at me.
I pressed my lips to his in a desperate kiss, not wanting to waste anymore time. Bellamy greedily kissed me back, his hands gripped the back of my head to hold me to him. I gripped the back of the vest he was wearing, almost afraid to let go.
