"Guys, come on! We have to go!" I called out. "Clarke, Monty!"
We were all running through the woods back towards camp when Monty suddenly tripped. Octavia and I grabbed his arms and pulled him up.
"Monty, come on, get up!" she said as we hoisted him up.
We kept running until we heard a scream coming from the way we came.
"Jasper," Clarke breathed out, turning back and running.
We all followed her back towards the cliff and Finn grabbed her just as she was about to exit the woods.
"Stay out of the trees! He was right there," Finn said as he pointed.
"Where is he?" Monty asked, worry spreading over his face.
"They must have took him," I replied sadly as I looked at Monty.
He looked at me with panic written all over his face. The six of us hurriedly ran back towards camp, dodging tree branches and logs, trying not to trip anymore. As we got closer, we heard commotion coming from inside the camp. We ran inside and saw Wells and Murphy fighting, a crowd standing around them. We pushed our way in.
"Murphy, ever the peace-keeper," I joked under my breath.
Somehow, Murphy heard me and sent me a flirtatious wink before his attention was drawn back to Wells.
"Wells! Let him go!" Clarke called to the dark-skinned boy, who was now holding onto Murphy.
Bellamy told them enough, to which they obliged, then glanced at his sister who was being held up by Monty and myself.
"Octavia, are you alright?" he asked her worriedly.
Octavia nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine," she responded as we helped her sit on a bench.
Bellamy glanced between all of us and finally noticed we didn't have any supplies with us.
"Where's the food?" he asked us.
Finn stepped forward. "We didn't make it to Mount Weather."
"Then what the hell happened out there?" the older boy asked us.
"We were attacked," I told him, causing him to glance at me.
"Attacked? By what?" Wells asked incredulously.
"Not what. Who. Turns out, when the last man from the ground died on the Ark, he wasn't the last Grounder," Finn told them.
"It's true, everything we knew about the ground is wrong. There are people here, survivors. The good news is, that means we can survive. The radiation won't kill us," Clarke added.
"The bad news is, the Grounders will," I said, making campers whisper to themselves.
"Where's the kid with the goggles?" Wells asked us then.
