A WEEK LATER

Throughout the remainder of the week, I had been picking venues, themes and most importantly, dresses.

That was my favourite part. Looking at myself in huge, lavish and intricately decorated wedding dresses, there wasn't a better part of my life than this.

Joyeon looked at me, as I stared at myself in the mirror, looking at myself in the third wedding dress I chose. This one was nice, I loved this one.

"Oh yes. Absolutely, would smash." Joyeon nodded her head vigorously, with such vigour that I thought she would've gone dizzy and fallen to the floor.

"Yup. For once I agree with Joyeon. Smash." Heejin agreed, standing in the exact same pose as Joyeon was. Matter of fact, they all were.

Arms crossed, looking at me intently, nodding their heads and thinking slightly.

I took a moment to look at myself in the mirror, never would I have thought that I would get married. Never, I mean ultimately, I thought one day I would - not sure when but someday - but now that I'm stood there, with a beautiful wedding dress on me, everything felt so real.

"I can't believe she's growing up, It feels like I'm letting my daughter go." Joyeon pretended to cry on Miyeon's shoulder, the girls engulfed each other in a series of fake cries and dramatic sobs.

I stood looking at them, dumbfounded and in sheer disbelief, but despite that, a small smile brushed my face.

"Alright. So this one?" I asked, just to make sure, It was also my favourite dress out of the ones I've seen. And beside, I needed one as soon as possible, the wedding was quite literally tomorrow and I was little to nothing ready.

"Yes." A collective agreement was made, so, without hesitation I reserved the dress. They measured a few things in order to alter it for the day and whatever, other than that, I was pretty much done.

As I left the store, Aeyoung clung onto my arm, Heejin onto the other and staring at me with beady eyes, definitely wanting to ask me something.

"What?" I looked at the two of them, now Miyeon and Joyeon had also given me a very questionable look.

"Seriously, what do you do to be able to afford such an expensive dress?" Heejin raised a brow, waiting for a reasonable answer that should've came out of my mouth.

At this moment, I panicked. See, now I wasn't sure what to tell them, that my 9-5 job pays enough money for me to buy a very expensive dress as if it was nothing? I haven't even worked at my old job in ages.

"Uh." I scurried to think of something, anything.

The four of them just eagerly waited for an answer, the most purest and beady eyes ever known to man all on me.

"Niki just pays for it!" I managed to find out an answer, then realising that it would lead onto the other question too.

"What the fuck does that guy do? That guy is like a billionaire." Joyeon scoffed, crossing her arms as the girls nodded in agreement.

"Um, well he's just.. he's just a.." I really should have rehearsed lines for something like this, "He invests."

Really Yuri? That's the best thing you could've came up with? An investor? That makes him sound so low.

The girls looked at me, concerned glances flashing on their faces.

"An investor?" Heejin batted her lashes as if she didn't believe a single word I just said, and rightfully so.

"Well. He's like, more of a business kinda guy." Man, I just somehow managed to make the situation worse with this stupid lie.

What? Was I just going to tell them that my family was a notorious mafia clan and I'm also getting married to a mafia leader.

No, exactly.

But, despite my horrible attempt at saving my ass from exposure, they seemed to buy it.

"Ooh, businessman?" Joyeon raised an eyebrow, "Now hold on, you said he had a sister right? I won't mind hitting on her too as long as she's got that millionaire money."

I chuckled at Joyeon's words as Heejin and Miyeon literally gave Joyeon a very weirded-out look.

"She has a son." My smile immediately diminished as I stared at Joyeon dead serious.

"I can babysit. No problem." Joyeon persisted and I simply rolled my eyes, continuing to walk up until a car parked up to the side.

The door opened, and as if he was a gold statue, the girls' eyes all shone, lighting up with pure awe and enlightment.
