The white fabric of my dress was stained with red, pouring red. It was a direct hit at my hip, and though it wasn't as lethal, it was painful.
I crawled away, leaning on a wall and away from sight as I applied my hands on the wound, my hands painted with my own blood.
Now I can say that I finally know what it's like to be shot. Ouch, not a good experience. I took a few deep breaths, trying to remain calm despite the utter shittery of the situation right now.
I held the wall, standing up as straight as I could. I'd just have to suffice through the pain and trudge on. I wasn't going to fight on, I had to find an exit.
Even if it was a pussy move of me to run off and escape, I had no weapons, no protection and I was injured.
I limped, trying to ease the pain oozing from my the left side of my hip. I made it to the main hallway, looking over the balcony to see if there's any of his men, but instead, I saw scattered bodies on the floor.
I furrowed my brows, did they shoot themselves or what? I suppose it'd be a better death than Minjae killing them.
I slowly made my way downstairs, very carefully and my ears and eyes completely focused. I tried to make the best out of the situation I was in, attempting to dart my attention away from the blistering pain.
Even if I tried, I could still feel the ringing pain. I could still feel the blood literally flowing out too, that was the worst bit probably.
I stumbled, holding onto walls and decorations as I made my way to the main area of the mansion. If I die, then I die. It'd be disappointing, but there's no other way out.
I stood in the middle of the main room, facing the front door, why the fuck was this unguarded, and where the fuck were all the guys.
"Yuri Nishimura." Another voice spoke, I spun around quickly, immediately regretting that decision.
Probably the last of Minjae's men, pointing a gun at me with a smug smile. His eyes dart to the blood patch on my white dress, then he let out a chuckle.
"Jesus fucking christ you guys multiply like little rats." I cursed, wishing I could just ease this pain in my hip already.
"Can't believe I get the pleasure of ending you." He scoffed, a smile piercing his face. First of all, what was with everybody and wanting to kill me, second of all, why didn't he already just do it.
I personally would've.
He's dragging it on.
"Is the demand for me that high?" I gave a bitter smile, flicking my hair behind my shoulder in a narcissistic manner.
"You'd be surprised how many people are out for your head, and what you're even worth." He raised a brow, and at that moment, I was genuinely intrigued.
"How much? If it's a million I'm gonna be offended." I crossed my arms, leaning on one leg as I looked at him.
"Stalling won't work on me. Any last words?" He asked, damn it, I was actually really curious how much I was worth.
Anyways, I accepted fate at this moment. Simply, I shrugged.
Three shots ripped through the air. I closed my eyes, thinking they had shot me. Thinking that this was it, I'd die at Minjae's mansion in a wedding dress.
As I opened my eyes, I looked down, noticing there were no holes in my dress, no more red blood stains and my body was still beating and standing.
Instead, the guy fell to the floor, a thud, as he hit the ground. His head was shot, neck was shot, chest was shot. He was a pile of red as he slowly bled out.
And I immediately looked to whoever shot those bullets. A figure, in a black suit coming out from the shadow of a room. His tall, lean figure came out into the illuminated room, and the relief my heart felt as I saw him.
Followed by his entrance, a group of men, all in black followed behind, carrying guns and scanning the area as they spread out.
He ran up to me, embracing me in his arms. I fell straight into his embrace, the pain was so bad. My body went limp in the safety of his arms.
"Fuck Yuri, I'm so sorry I couldn't get you earlier." Niki cursed, holding me tightly and refusing to let go as more people came in from other entrances in the mansion.
"I think my hip is going to fall off." I groaned, my eyes slowly shutting and opening. I tried to stay as awake as possible, but clearly being around Niki just made my body turn into liquid.
"Yuri, baby, stay awake, please." He pleaded, gently tapping my cold cheek, he tried his best to shake me lightly awake, to do anything so that I'd stay conscious.
But the pain and the malnourishment I had felt was unbearable, and despite his desperate pleads and his fixated grasp on me, my body gave up, simply just shut down.
"Yuri! Yuri I don't want to lose you. Please." Were the last words I heard from Niki.
