The man covered my mouth, placing a knife under my throat, it must've been a guy I missed. I mean, seriously, how was I supposed to know how many of them there were.
"Don't resist. Or shout. You will die." He growled, anger fulfilling his voice.
I groaned, I couldn't even live a normal life anymore.
He quietly ushered me further along the house, making his way to the main room, still with the knife at my throat.
"YURI?" Niki's voice yelled, and for some reason, I felt an immense urge to just tell him to not look for me, this was going to probably either kill me or him.
His yelling grew distant, the blade of the knife made contact with my neck, the coldness sending a shiver throughout my body.
Can you believe someone like this guy could have a daughter or son or something like that to go home to?
"Don't shout or you're dead." He took his hand off my mouth and the first thing I did was let out a groan, give me a break already.
"Whatever you say." I retort, the man gave a chuckle, pressing the blade against my neck a little tighter, It wasn't deep enough to penetrate through my skin, but it was definitely making me feel a little uneasy.
A deep clearing of the throat caused the man to look behind him, and at that moment, I grabbed his wrist, taking ahold of the knife and freeing myself of his grasp.
Before I could even kill him, a gunshot ripped through his chest, he fell forward to the ground, his head landing on my shoes. I pointed the knife back down, staring at the known shadow standing on the other side.
I dropped the knife to the side, kicking it away from the guy. I spun around, walking off as Niki followed behind, he added three shots to the guy. The bullets echoed through the halls.
Niki caught up beside me, a smirk on his face, he looked at me with something suggestive.
"I need you to be my wife." He randomly blurt out, was this guy serious?
"I will be." I rolled my eyes, rinsing my hands with water.
"Now." Niki demanded, his eyes were serious, he meant it. I scoffed, flicking him with water. I walked off coldly shrugging him off.
"Come on, you may as well marry me now instead of in two months." Niki persisted, why the hell was he so desperate.
I stopped, looking at him dead in the eyes.
"The two months before I marry you will be me mentally preparing myself for the wedding. If you're not happy with waiting two months, find yourself another candidate you can force." I bitterly told him, he rolled his eyes, astonished by my coldness.
"It looks like you're wearing that cherry-coloured lipstick." His eyes dart to my lips, then back to my eyes as I just looked at him, perplexed.
He didn't even give me a chance to collect my thoughts, just pulled me into a deep kiss, for some reason, my lips joined in till I slapped consciousness into my brain and pulled away. He wiped the edge of my lips with his thumb.
"Just practicing before the actual wedding." He shot me a look, and I don't even know how to describe the way he looked at me. It was a combination of lust, devilishness and anticipation.
He walked off, even his walk screamed rich. I watched as he walked off, and I just shook my head, firstly at myself and secondly at him. How the hell did I manage to give in like that? I should've just pulled away immediately.
I groaned at myself internally, but nonetheless, made my way to my bathroom to rid myself of this smell and feeling. Nothing greater than being covered in enemy blood.
Thankfully, the shower relieved alot of the events that just occurred, the one thing that was still on my mind was Jaehyun. I wondered if he heard anything, saw anything, I mean, I'm sure he saw me covered in blood, and the bodies. I was just a little worried for the guy, he was only five.
I sighed, wrapping myself in a towel and staring at myself in the mirror. Wow, I missed my friends, I don't even know how my life turned out like this. I literally just killed a bunch of men like 45 minutes ago.
And did I feel a singular bit bad? No, not at all. This made me think about the words Niki told me, his words found themselves revolving round my thoughts too often nowadays.
Maybe I was made to be part of the mafia. While in a daze, the door slammed open, and I looked over casually to Niki stood there, looking at me up and down before staring at my face.
"Uh, can I help you?" I furrowed my brows, a girl can't even have privacy anymore?
He gave a sigh of relief.
"I thought you would've killed yourself after doing all of that, good to see you're still alive and well." He seemed to be breathing a little heavily.
