Rapid footsteps ran towards me, and in such an urgent manner, I ran, skirting through hallways like a labyrinth. Goddamn, I picked up a gun with about five bullets to go, and this house was surrounded with men.
Not only that, but I was trudging around in a heavy, fancy wedding dress. As if it just couldn't get worse for me.
I breathed out silently, my heart panging against my chest as I managed to find a hallway where nothing but silence protruded.
I heard the small taps of footsteps, scattering across and walking further and further from where I was.
"Minjae is going to kill us." A voice spoke, presumably one of the men.
"Did they all leave??" Another responded, a slight hint of worry in his tone.
"No, all but the main one. Fuck. Where is that bitch!" He was annoyed, his tone harsh with irritance. I peered my head from the corner, staring at the two guys completely letting their guard down and just lounging around as if it was no big deal.
I took this opportunity to use two of my bullets. I had to ensure they would be dead.
I aimed directly for one of the guy's necks, shooting as he stood still, just staring into space. Thankfully the bullet was in my favour and shot him lethally in the neck. He fell to the floor, holding the hole in his neck as it spewed out blood after blood.
There was no saving him.
As he dropped to the floor, in a pool of his own blood, the other one ran towards where the bullet came from. I waited around from the corner, for him to just pop up, and just as he did - I grabbed him by the collar, catching him completely by surprise.
I knocked his empty gun out of his hand, he stared at me, trying to resist and get my grasp off him. I pushed him against a wall, giving a light smile.
"Let me do Minjae a favour." I clocked the gun, he shook his head in a desperate urge for me to stop. But relentlessly, I shot him once again, in the neck, dropping his body carelessly to the floor.
Three bullets remained.
I took a sharp inhale, just wondering what my next move should be. I couldn't even fight physically with this dress, and even if I could, my body was too malnourished to even fight with such energy to win.
I had three bullets left, three men could die if I was lucky enough. And how many men there were? I had no idea.
I gave a shaky sigh, my hand was so cold, adrenaline coursed through my veins and at moments I wanted to pop out and start firing - but I had my life on the line.
And Niki, wherever he is even.
I took slow movements, ensuring all possible entrances and hallways were clear of a large group of people. It was oddly silent, the kind of silence you didn't want to hear.
Although I kept looking back, kept turning and looking at every room possible, there was some eerie vibe following behind me. And I couldn't lay a finger on it, I had no idea what it was and what was coming to me.
Everytime I turned around, there was nobody there.
I groaned, peeking from another wall as I looked at a group of men, armed and covered up. They were all talking, planning and probably discussing my whereabouts.
I tried to hear what they were saying, anything could've helped me at this point. I was desperate for at least something.
"Jiyoon and Seokhoon are dead. She's armed." One of the guys said as the others nodded gently.
"Damn. How the fuck have we not found her yet? She's literally in a wedding dress, she's unmissable." Another groaned, checking his gun.
"I knew it wasn't a good idea for Minjae to abduct her. Fuck, we're all dead unless we find her." The main guy spoke, evidently smarter than my own brother, "Nishimura is definitely coming for our ass."
"Fuck. We've checked all the second storey, let's move downstairs." Another suggested, they all nodded, following each other like little puppets.
Pfft, that is also another mistake. Why would you even decide to collectively go downstairs as a big group?
But my thoughts were very quickly made to be wrong. An arm squeezed around my neck, holding me in a necklock and just about allowing me to breathe.
I panicked, my heart began beating once more, what the fuck was going on?! I tried to turn my head at the figure behind me, dragging me away.
"The cat caught the mouse eventually, huh?" One of Minjae's men spoke, giving a rough chuckle as he dug in his pocket with his other hand.
