"Yeah.." I gave him a blunt reply, not even bothering to think my answers through anymore.
"Exactly! When I mentioned it she started to argue with me, I think we get along real well Yuri. You know, girls like you are just my type, submissive and pretty." Seojun decided to blurt out now, seriously, every time I thought it couldn't get any worse, it just did.
"Sure.." I gave another bored reply.
"Are you full? You barely touched the salad, alright, well, I'm gonna order dessert." He called for the waiter to take away our plates, his was empty, mine was basically full.
He himself, ordered a dessert, and I was so over this right now. His words, actions, everything made me spiral into insanity.
"I can't go for girls who act like men, like, girls who eat too much are so unattractive - same with girls who aren't willing to cook and clean. Seriously? Where are people's standards nowadays?" Seojun had the guts to even say those words and as they went through my head, I just blankly ignored him.
A figure stood beside me, knocking on the table twice.
"I didn't know your standards were this low, Yuri." The familiar deep voice cut me out of my daze, I sat up, looking up at the man looking down on me with a smirk.
A small smile curved onto my face, just seeing him here was like a breath of fresh air.
"Who are you? We're on a blind date." Seojun furrowed his brows, angrily staring at Niki.
"God Yuri, I feel offended you'd stoop this low." Niki pulled out his wallet, slapping a good few bills onto the table, "Get the fuck outta here baby."
I raised my brows at his words, standing up beside Niki.
Seojun stood up, furiously glaring at Niki. He approached Niki, grabbing him by the collar, trying to act intimidating.
"That girl is mine, her friend set us up, and she was enjoying our date. Isn't that right Yuri?" Seojun looked at me for an answer, the people in the restaurant looking at us.
Niki was calm, unphased by Seojun tugging at the collar of his hoodie.
"No girl enjoys a guy who forces them to eat salads and act broke. You should take your hands off me by the way." Niki chuckled, his chuckle alone signalled authority and power. Seojun's hands were pulling at Niki's hoodie low enough to reveal his tattoo on his collarbone.
"Said who? I'm not taking shit from a guy like you." Seojun attempted to swing for a punch, but Niki grabbed his fist before it even came close to his face, twisting his arm painfully to the left. He let out a groan, and Niki let go, causing Seojun to stumble back slightly.
"Save yourself the pain." Niki warned him, trying to walk out the restaurant peacefully, but as we made it outside, Seojun tried to pounce on Niki.
Niki grabbed Seojun by the neck singlehandedly, looking at me as Seojun struggled in his grasp.
"Give me a few minutes sweetheart." He placed his other hand in his hoodie pocket, a clicking sound coming from his hoodie. Oh boy, that guy was gonna be all guts in the alleyways.
I nodded lightly, watching as he forcefully dragged Seojun to a very isolated corner, dark and alone. I minded my business, looking around and pretending as if nothing was going on at all.
Not even five minutes later, two gunshots were heard, then silence. Niki made his way back to me, a smirk appearing on his face. I raised my eyebrows, a smile curving on my face at his smug expression.
"What did you do.." I asked him, curious.
His smirk swept into a cold glare, walking towards his other car. He faced forward, obviously not impressed.
"He forced you to eat salad and you still stayed? Pfft." Niki complained in a cold manner, "Do I not spoil you enough? What do I lack?"
I felt a little bad at first, but his other words made me give a smile. What, was he jealous or something? I tried to hide the smile pouring from my lips, but I just couldn't stop it.
"It's not even tha-"
"Yeah, alright. Save your own words or you'll end up just like him." Niki bitterly responded, I bit my bottom lip, in an attempt to disguise the huge smirk on my face, "Told you to drink from the water dispenser. Pfft." He gave some real salty murmurs to himself.
"How long were you there for-"
"Clearly broke guys are your type, one's that treat you like shit. Alright though, just lower your standards like that, fine. I see how it is. I guess I'll just treat you like that if that's what it takes-" Niki was just muttering to himself, and then paused at the end, thinking through what he just blurt out.
He cleared his throat as I let out a quiet laugh.
"Ah, you know Joyeon forced me to do this. I was gonna leave." I linked my arm with his, looking up at him with an irresistible smile.
