Chapter 16: First Day Back

Izuku Midoriya was woken up to being shaken. He opened his eyes, "Ugh........." His vision was blurry at first but once it focused he saw the love of his life, "Y-Yes? What t-time is it?"

Nejire chuckled and brushed some of Izuku's hair out of his left eye, "Good morning Izuku! It is currently 6:30 AM."

He sat up and rubbed his eyes still groggy, "Why wake up?"

She smiled at her boyfriend, "You can lay back down Izuku." She put her hand on his chest and gently pushed him down and he allowed it.

Izuku smiled and held Nejire's hand that was still on his chest, "Good....Morning...."

She kissed his cheek, "Hey. I gotta head to my dorm and get ready for school."

He frowned and held her hand tighter, "No.....Stay...."

She giggled a bit, "Awe. Izuku." She cupped his cheek and rubbed it with her thumb, "I love you and I wanna stay with you. But I have to get ready for school. And you also have too."

He groaned, "F-Fine." He sat up and put his legs off the bed, "Hm?"

She gave him a confused look, "Um? You ok?"

He nodded, "My legs. They feel completely normal."

Nejire smiled, "Hey! That means you are probably really good! Try and move around."

He got up and Nejire did too. Nejire kept close, "I am right here. If you fall I will catch you."

He smiled and started walking around. Yes his legs still were a little shaky but besides that he was fine, "H-Hey! I can w-walk!"

Nejire smiled and clapped her hands, "That's awesome Izuku! But hey." She held his hands and put them in front of her chest, "But hey don't go walking to much until you go to Recovery Girl."

He sighed, "So the wheelchair?" He spoke that sentence with a bit of disappointment.

She kissed his cheek, "Izuku. I know you hate it I do. But please. Just until RG says your good. I will even take you their."

He sighed, "Fine. But only because you asked."

She smiled, "Honey. I don't want you only doing things because I asked. I want you to want to take care of yourself."

"Baby steps. Let's start small."

She nodded, "You go ahead and get ready. I'll wait outside."

Once she left the room Izuku got dressed into his U.A. uniform and he sat back down on his bed, "You can come back in!"

Nejire walked back in with a smile, "Hey! You ready?"

He nodded and walked to the door, "Let's go!"

Nejire looked at him and the wheelchair, "Sit now."

He sighed and sat down in the wheelchair, "I'm ready now."

She smiled and kissed the top of his head and wheeled him out to her dorm.

Once she got there and changed she walked out of her dorm room, "Alrighty! Now let's get you to Recovery Girl."

She started wheeling him out but on the way out Togata came out of his dorm room, "Oh! Hey Midoriya! Hey Nejire!" He walked over, "You doing better Midoriya?"

He nodded and rubbed the back of his head,, "Y-Yeah! I can actually walk without almost any issue."

He raised an eyebrow, "Um why are you in a wheelchair then?"

Nejire smiled, "Oh! That is because I made him sit in it!"

Togata was now really confused, "Uh? I am so utterly confused now."
