Chapter 27: Awards

Izuku Midoriya was currently in his waiting room.

He was currently waiting to be called for the medal ceremony. Sadly he was alone. A rule that they had was every waiting room for the medal ceremony had to have the person receiving said medal.

Izuku looked at his phone and saw a message. He tapped the notification and he smiled when he saw it was from Nejire.

"Hey Izuku! Sorry I wasn't able to help much after the incident. But rules are rules. After the ceremony we can talk more. And hey. You are amazing and deserve love. You do amazing out there."

He smiled at the text, "I don't deserve you."

The intercoms blared, "Alright everyone! Will the contestants report to their spots!"

Izuku walked out of his room, "Ok. Time to do this."

He walked towards his podium and stood on it waiting for it to raise up.

He looked at his right hand. His vision kept flashing between his hand now and his hand with blood on it. He shook his head and rubbed his eyes, "Nope. Ignore it. I am better then that. It was just a brief moment I snapped."

The crowd started cheering as he heard the podiums begin to rise.

The podiums rose all the way to the top.

Ida and Tokoyami were on two podiums of the same height.

Bakugou was on the second tallest podium.

Izuku was on the tallest podium.

Midnight cracked her whip, "Now the medal ceremony has started! And we have a special guest to deliver the medals! Come on down here!"

A massive hulking mass suddenly landed in front of the podiums. Kicking up dust and debris, "I am here! With medals!"

The crowd cheered.

All Might approached the smaller podium, "Young Ida! You have done an amazing performance today! You did everything you could and stood up against overwhelming odds."

He put the medal around Ida's neck and walked to Tokoyami, "Young Tokoyami! Just like Young Ida you had an amazing performance! You used your quirk to the fullest extent you could! And stood strong through it all!"

He put the medal around Tokoyami's neck and jumped up to the second tallest podium, "Young Bakugou! You used your quirk and skill to get as far as you did!"

Bakugou grit his teeth, "I should have been first place."

All Might shook his head, "Bakugou you tried your hardest! Look back on this battle and learn from your mistakes!"

He put the medal around Bakugou's neck and jumped up to the tallest podium, "Young Midoriya!" Just saying that caused the crowd to cheer. All Might smiled at this and Izuku also smiled.

All Might continued, "You did amazing! You used every bit of training you received to get first place! And not just that you got first place in every category! You used your quirk to it's fullest and proved your worth. You showed everyone that you are here!"

All Might placed the gold medal around Izuku's neck, "Continue to improve and I have no doubt you will be a great hero one day!"

All Might jumped off the podium, "Alrighty! Is everyone ready!" He put his hand in the air, "GREAT JOB EVERYBODY!"

At the same time everyone else yelled, "PLUS ULTRA!"

The crowd started laughing and All Might spoke, "I JUST WANTED TO CONGRATULATE EVERYONE!"
