Chapter 54: Permission

Izuku Midoriya had just knocked on a door. He had just picked up the promise rings he ordered. They turned out amazing. But he needed to do one thing before he asked her.

He heard a man yell from inside the house, "Who is it!?"

"It's Midoriya!"

"Doors unlocked!"

He entered the house, "Hey Mr. Hado! Sorry for texting you out of the blue."

Aoi sat up in his recliner, "No problem kid. What is it you wanted to talk about?"

"W-Well um. It is kind of serious. At least to me. I don't know if Nejire would even say I needed to do this but I think I do."

Aoi raised an eyebrow, "Kid if your about to say she is pregnant."

"She isn't!"

Aoi laughed, "Sorry the joke was there. But what's up?"

"Well um. Trying to figure out how to say this."

He nodded, "Don't stress kid."

Izuku sat down on the couch closest to the recliner, "Well um. You know I love Nejire right?"

"Yeah. Kind of obvious. You two don't hide it at all."

"Well um. I know this is really early. But I am very serious about my relationship with Nejire. I just want you to know that. I do not plan on ever leaving her. And I hope she doesn't plan on ever leaving me."

Aoi chuckled, "Trust me kid she isn't. Every time me or Miwa call she is always talking about you. Granted most of it is how you are doing after everything like your recovery and all that. Actually speaking of that."

He pointed at Izuku's hair, "What is up with the white? Did you dye it or something?"

Izuku chuckled, "N-No. W-When I did my final pulse attack against Sukuna well it had a drawback. Basically it changed due to Mari Antoinette. 9 times out of ten it is a result of trauma or abuse. Granted I got both of those. But this came from me pushing my pulse attack to it's limits. Recovery Girl said if I keep using attacks like that I should except the fact my hair will be all white one day."

He nodded, "Did that attack cause any like health issues?"

He shook his head, "Besides draining my stamina to were I looked like a zombie for a couple days no. Perfectly healthy."

"And your injures from Sukuna?"

"Still have some bandages but nothing to severe. They don't cause me trouble when I move, exercise, or train so no big deal. Should heal up just in time for the physical part of the midterms which is in two days."

"That's good. How did you even do on your midterm?"

"Well I know I passed the paper portion. I don't know my grade for sure but I know I didn't fail. But me going to the summer training camp I have to pass the physical portion."

"Yeah isn't that for a week or something?"

"Two weeks."

"Ah so it's longer then when Nejire went her first year."

He nodded, "B-But back to what I wanted to ask. You know I love your daughter and I plan on never leaving her. I just want you to know that before I ask this."

"I know kid. You have proven that time and time again."

Izuku reached into his pocket and pulled out two boxes, "Well."

Aoi spit out his drink, "W-Woah! L-Look kid! I s-see you as a son and all but! D-Don't you think it's a bit early to p-propose! I mean you both aren't even out of college yet!"
