✨LISSA'S POV✨

I ran.

And I kept running untill I couldn't.

'You need to practice. You are soo weak'

"Will you shut up?" I shouted between gasping and dying.

'No'

"uhh. Why are here again?"

'I'm saving you. Because guess what? Your oh so great savior Cameron is not here.'

"Who was that?" I asked, completely ignoring the current topic.

'How would I know? I'm just a pshychotic voice in your head.'

"You.."

She disappeared.

"Oh. So now you'll leave when I need you. Great."

My legs gave out and I fell on the mouldy ground. The fate is really cruel.

I looked up and was shocked when I saw the sun descending on its path. I don't have more than a few hours before nightfall and few more before midnight.

I need to find Cameron but before that, I need to find some water and food that won't poison or kill me.

I started walking and after a while I heard the unmistakable sound of running water.  I quickened my pace but stopped dead when I saw the scene unfolding before me.

Cameron was kissing the ground and babling nonsense while praying for the goddess of beauty to reappear and bless him with her grace.

I ran to him.

"Cameron. Cameron."

He ignored me. It seemed that the earth was more important to him than me or...

"Or he just can't...."

"No, he can't."

I turned quickly and saw a creature sitting on the riverbank. Her long dark blue hair fluttering in the wind and body covered in scales of varied colours of greens, blues and yellows. Some parts of her body covered in mould and plants but most was bare. Her eyes were a haunting shade of neon yellow and glassy. A symbol was drawn on her forehead which looked familiar but I couldn't place it.

"What?"

"He can't hear or see you. He is trapped in his mind."

"You trapped him?" I asked cautiously.

She laughed. A sound like tinkling of bell echoed around us.

"Do you see anyone else around here?"

"Why?"

"Because I need something." She said plainly.

"What?"

She gave me a puzzled look. As if she was deciding her next move.

"Come here." She demanded.

I backpadled.

"No."

She laughed again.

"You think you can resist?"

"Maybe not. But I'm not gonna offer myself to you in a platter."

"You are stubborn. I like that."

I smiled at her and threw the rock I had picked while I tried to wake Cameron. It flew and smacked right at her throat. I turned and ran but a hauntingly beautiful music stopped me in my track.

It felt so intimate, like a mother's hug or a father's kiss. A husband's love or a friend's support. I couldn't move away from it. It was mine.

It belonged to me and I belonged to it.

An alluring dark abyss unfolded in me and I gave in.

The last thing I saw was the disturbing smile of the woman who had sharp teeth and yellow eyes.

Hey guys.

I tried making the siren with the help of AI. I find it perfect but I'll like your reviews on it.
