✨ CAMERON'S POV ✨

"How long will she take to wake up? You said a few hours but it has been a whole day." I thundered.

"How would I know? Do I look like a healer to you?" The witch backfired.

"You brought us here and implied that you could help her. Now help her."

"I did everything I could. She herself has to master the powers and control them."

"What can I do?"

"Train. The next trial is a month away and you will need all the training you can get."

"You still want us to complete the trials? Haven't seen enough misery in a few years that you want us to suffer more. Look at her, she hasn't woken up in nearly 30 hours."

"I don't care." She said and left the hut.

"Obviously you don't care." I shouted high enough for her to hear.

"Neither should you." She shouted back.

I sighed and sat down on the floor next to Lissa's bed.

"I know. But I can't stop." I murmured.

"I took the best chance I had to get away from you. I trained so hard and became the Undefeated General. The best weapon of the kingdom just so I could stay away from you." I caressed her hair as I continued.

"On the first day of my official training with the guards, my father broke my arm because I could not lift myself up to the railings of the training slab." I laughed.

"I was too bulky and was just learning to control my powers."

I smiled at her form.

"If you would have been there, you would have threatened to whack him with a spoon and add peppers in his flask."

"Yeah. I probably would have done that for you." Lissa's weak voice made me jump.

"Lissa. Are you okay?" I stood and rushed to her side.

She was trying to get up but was too weak to do that.

I helped her and rearranged the pillows to make it comfortable for her.

"I'm fine Cameron. Don't fret over me."

"You were unconscious for nearly 30 hours. I was so worried for you."

"I'm fine. Where are we? Where is Melany and Devina?"

"Who are Melany and Devina?" (Yeah. I totally took the name Devina from The Originals.)

"Melany is the siren and Devina is the witch."

"Oh."

"You didn't knew that?"

"No."

"Wow. Are you sure you are the great undefeated general of the kingdom because the action of the past week indicate something else?"

"I.." I was speechless.

She was never this blunt or rude to anyone. Never asked downright questions to anyone.

"Any way, I'm going out to find them." She stood up and walked to the door.

"No no no... You can't do that. You need to rest."

I stopped her.

"I've been resting and restoring for last 30 hours according to you. I don't need more rest."

She walked out and stretched her hands.

"You can't just wander around the jungle shouting for the creatures to eat you." I grabbed her hand as she ignored me and walked towards the jungle.
