✨ LISSA'S POV ✨

'Wake up. Wake up. Wake up. Wake up.'

The dream turned into a nightmare and I opened my eyes.

I was lying on the rocky riverbed, my whole body floating in the water while my head was on the dry land.

I blinked a few times and stood up.

"Why are you getting up honey? I told you to stay there till you die." A voice said.

No. Not any voice, the creature's voice.

I looked at her. She was sitting on a rock getting her hair brushed by Cameron.

"What are you?"

Her eyes widened and mouth parted.

"It is not possible."

I took a step forward.

She took two steps back.

Something moved inside me. A silent tide crashed against my consciousness. Like a cool welcome.

'You are made for this. Embrace it.'

And I did.

I drowned in that water. The water I was always too afraid to touch. The water that always yearned to help but I was a little too coward to use it.

"How..?" She stumbled.

"You showed me the vision. I saw my Mother. She had a gift of water. Not just bending or using of water but the true gift."

"No one has that kind of gift. You are lying.

"Maybe. But it does not matter now."

I raised my hand and the river answered my plea. Columns of water rose behind me and the creature paled.

"I'm a water creature. You can't harm me with water."

"I will not harm you." I took a step ahead and so did the river. "I will cage you. I will make you suffer."

I smiled a wickedly and let go of the river.

It thrushes forward and encircled the creature. She screamed and jumped forward but stopped short.

"How...?"

The circle froze completely, trapping her inside.

"Let me out!" She screamed and started banging her fist against the ice.

I sat on the rock she previously sat on.

"There is no way you are going to get out of that circle unless I allow it, so why don't we make a deal and all leave unharmed?" I said sweetly.

I was not this person. It was not in me to torture anyone for my want. But watching Cam down on his knees for her broke me.

She had to pay for what she did.

She wasted nearly an hour before she accepted defeat.

"Fine. I'll give you what you want. Let me out." She plead .

"Tsk tsk tsk. Let you out? That's not how this works. Now, you will answer my questions truthfully and free Cameron from your powers."

"What will I get in exchange?" She asked.

"Your freedom." I said truthfully.

She laughed.

"You can't give me my freedom. You are incapable of such thing."

"Do we have a deal?" I ignored her statement.

"What is stopping you from going back on out deal?"

"Cameron."

She just nodded.

"What are you?" I asked.

"A siren."

"What was the haunting music?"

"You heard the music?" She asked me shockingly.

"Yes. What was it?"

"It was siren song."

"Do you know where the sister of this ring is?" I asked, showing her the ring the witch gave me.

"Yes."

"Can you bring it to me?"

"Yes."

"Then go and get it."

"No."

"What do you mean no?"

"You are asking the wrong questions."

"What does that mean? Tell me where the ring is."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because I just can't."

"That is not fair. You agreed to answer all my questions truthfully."

"I am."

Uhh. The frustration bubbled in me.

'She is not answering because she can't. Not because she don't want to. Think clearly. Watch carefully.' The voice echoed in my mind.

I watched her carefully. She sat on the ground, trapped in an ice globe and shivering slightly. Her spine was straight but her face has somehow lost some colour.

No.. wait....

Her forehead.... the symbol.

I lifted the ring and it matched the symbol on her forehead.

"You... you are the sister of this ring?"

She smiled and nodded once.

I melted the ice and returned the water to the river, freeing her from the cage.

"You asked the right question. Now 'ask' the right object." She said.

Ask, not request.

"Give me the ring. Give me your ring."

She smiled and exploded into a bright blue light. A minute and then everything went dark.
