Onome and Ese came back to Osas's house the following weekend. It's unbelievable considering how far they have to travel to get here.

Osas had just gotten back from the hospital that morning and went to take her bath. The bathroom in their compound was at the back so as she was coming out through the passage and heard her friends voice she froze on the spot

What were they doing here?
Before she could think of what next to do she raised her head and her eyes met with Ese

Ese stared at her and was already moving towards her, about to call Onome who was bouncing in front heading to Osas's apartment

"Don't tell her that am here" Osas mouthed as she hurried back to the bathroom to hide

Ese was confused but she walked up to join onome who was already banging their door

"Onome stop" Ese cautioned

"What?!"

"Maybe they are not around"

"Again! How can you be so sure we just got here"
She went on banging the door

"Nobody is answering let's just go"

"You don give up be that, you no wan find your bestie again "

"No be you carry me come here, you sure say you even see Osas at all. How many times we don come here wey we no see am"

"Why I go lie for you. Na her house be diz, I follow am come here. I enter inside I sit down on top their bed. "

"Oya where's she?"

"Come make we enter that market maybe she don go there "

"Am not going anywhere with you, see the far journey wey we trek I kan still use my last card enter motor I no dey go anywhere with you Onome I don tire"

"Ahh no be you wan see Osas "

"Well she's obviously not here so let go and stop wasting them"

"But why osas go carry me come here if she no dey stay here"

"Abeg Abeg make we dey go. Your wahala too much"
Ese covered for her friend and convinced onome to leave. They both left the compound together

About an hour later Ese returned back alone to the house and knocked gently on the door

Osas peeped through the window and when she saw only Ese at the door she hesitate for awhile before opening the door

"Where Onome?" She mumbled slowly

"She go her papa house, I tell am say I don dey go back house"

Osas nodded and went back to sit on the bed, spreading her legs apart and continued to eat her groundnuts

Ese took a good look at her friend's living condition, the room was so small and the bed was on the floor all their stuffs were packed in one corner

"So Osas you are really pregnant "
Osas shrugged she had seen her tying wrapper earlier on so she could tell

"Onome said you were very sick and that's why you guys moved"

Osas nodded

"She didn't know you were pregnant "

"Unlike you onome doesn't take note of these things"

Ese sat beside her friend on the bed

"But why you no tell me, we don dey find you since you just disappear just like that"

"Belle no be something wey I wan announce to the world Ese...."

"So that time wey I talk am, you don get belle"
