Albert Erabor returned back from his trip the same day Ivie and Osas went back to Warri. He couldn't make the trip the previous day coz he was held in a meeting.
Albert is a professor and he has been away in Denmark teaching a course on international relations in the university
Although Helen had insisted that he comes home before they osas and Ivie left but his meeting dragged longer that it was meant to and he ended up missing his flight
When he arrived at the house last that evening Helen was waiting for him on the porch with a beaming smile to welcome her husband who has been away for 4months
After exchanging pleasantries he spent the rest of the day resting from the long flight. But he had already dropped instructions for Helen to gather the boys by morning for breakfast
The next morning breakfast table was set for a feast, Helen made sure to arrange all of her husband's favorite on the table from his preferred fruits to baked beans and French toast with scrambled eggs, boiled Irish potato with tomato sauce served with hot coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice
Albert is very particular about eating healthy and especially when it comes to breakfast
Raphael arrived shortly after the table was set and they were about to start
"Welcome home dad, you look well. Denmark must be treating you really good "
"Thank you, I can't complain the weather is a bit better now and the people are easygoing "
His dad travels a lot, he has this contract that post him to different universities all over the world to teach his course and he collaborates with other professors to write journals on his extensive research
"Oh okay "
"So how's work?"
"We are doing great, the construction for the railway will commence soon and we just wrapped up the repair of the bridge. We are also waiting for approval from Lagos state ministry of works to proceed with the new overhead bridge in Epe "
"Well that's good to know, did that merger pull through the one with Ozone line"
Helen hates it when they talk about work at the breakfast table but she couldn't stop them when they get like this
"No dad....., it didn't work out" his voice dropped
"Hmmm!" Albert scoffs and stuff his bread in his mouth
"So I hear you are a father now"
"Pretty much"
"And she's eleven years old"
"Oh darling, you need to see her. She's his exact replica....... It's amazing" Helen chipped in
"Yes! Yes!! I saw all the videos and pictures you sent to me"
"So are you excited to be a grandfather " Raphael asked
"I'm not sure that question should be for me. I should be asking you if you are excited to be a father Edafe"
"Yes dad! I'm very excited, I'm over the moon"
"And what about the child's mother"
"She's fine, I guess"
"You have to figure out what to do with her"
"As it concerns Ivie we are going to discuss an agreement "
"What about as it regard her"
"I don't understand "
"We do not have children out of wedlock in this family. Marriage is a sacred ceremony. You know this"
