At work Osas was really worried about her mom. She hasn't spoken to her since she came to Lagos and it's been way too long

Osas couldn't take it anymore so she went to the restroom and kept calling her mom she didn't stop even after trying the third time

Osas kept calling until she finally picked

"Ivie is not here" Wema answered bluntly

"I know, I know she will still be in school, I called because I wanted to speak with you"

"Well I don't want to speak with you"

"Iye! How long are you going to hate me for"

"How long are you going to keep being stupid"

"Maale! It's really not like that"

"So you think what you are doing is smart, abandoning us and moving to Lagos. You think it's smart"

"No! It's not, how I left and going without your consent is stupidity on my own part. I shouldn't have behaved like that. I'm truly sorry mom "

"What exactly are you looking for Osas, what else are you looking for... if it is companionship I'd Timothy not man enough. Timothy has been asking you to be with him for years now and you have refused. "

"Ahh mommy! Timo is not for me"

"Oh really! And you know he is a good man but for some reason you are aiming for something else, something that you are not even bold enough to talk about "

"What do you mean"

"Did you not leave us here to go and pursue man in Lagos " Osas  gasped.

"How! How did you know"

"I'm not foolish Osas besides no be me born you. Do you really think I wasn't going to figure it out"

"Iye! I can explain."

"Is your explanation going to change the fact that you are acting on your own selfish interest"

"Maybe not!" She mumbled
"But am looking out for clarity"

"After all these years"

"I need to know if it was just a moment or if we really shared something special coz I've not been to get over him after all these years. Even though It doesn't make sense but it is what it is."

"Can you even listen to yourself. You went all the way to Lagos to chase after a man who abandoned you all those years ago"

"He didn't abandon me mommy, he doesn't even know about Ivie"

"Oh so you think if you tell him about Ivie, he will miraculously fall in love with you and want to build a family "

Her mother knows her too well

"Well that's not so bad, is it"

"It's not bad, it's tragic.....Why are you setting yourself up for an heartbreak. You made a mistake and the only thing you have learnt from it is to dive into the same hole"

"Mama pls let me do this at least after now I can say I have tried. I don't just want to give up without even trying "

"That's the logical thing to do, some people are just in your life as passerby in this case that boy was just a sperm donor, knocked you off and disappeared "

"He didn't disappear he traveled abroad "

"Stop making excuses for him, you want to be jilted over again "

"You don't know that mom, you haven't even met him"
