Things were moving steadily in the saloon. They pasted mirrors on both sides of the wall with drawers next to them and work benches

A lot of work, efforts, sweat and money has gone down in putting this place in order. Sometimes the whole day just goes by and she barely has the time for herself

One evening she was supposed to pick Ivie up from grandma's store but she was running late so she had to call Raphael to pick Ivie up and take her to their apartment since it was a school night and couldn't spend the night at grandma's coz she has to get ready for school

She had to call Raphael to pick her up and he agreed without hesitation. He took Ivie to their apartment and waited till osas got back

When Osas arrived it was already so late

"Gosh I am so sorry Edafe, I didn't mean to keep you for so long. The hell I went through today"
She pulled off her bag and jacket

"What happened" Raphael asked

"My carpenter chose today of all days to disappoint me after lying all day long, that guy is a mad man and if I no change am for am, e no go learn. The guy think say me nah Ajebutter until I show am real shege he will not respect himself "

"Why is He delaying your work?"

"I just don't understand after making countless promises to me only for him to not show up today it was one stupid story or the other. Earlier he was at the sawmill then he couldn't get a bus to bring his supplies, and at some point he just switched off his phone. I waited till 9:30pm for that imbecile"

"I don't know why you are dealing with all these rugged local road side carpenters what happened to ones my mom recommended "

"Ahhh don't say that o, local carpenters are actually very good with their craft. This guy is even better, he made all the shelves and drawers and they are very fine. Is just that the guy is very unserious and unfortunate because how am I ever going to recommend him to anyone with the rubbish pattern he is playing with me"

"I just don't trust these people. They say one thing and do another. Integrity is very important in business They fall short in that aspect they mismanage their funds and compromise a lot. Have worked with a lot of them on my projects and I don't intend to do it again"

"I guess education does have a role to play afterall"

"Indeed! But where did you find this guy though"

"Ajegunle nah! My friend gave me his number "

"No way!" He scoffs " you went all the way to Ajegunle to find a carpenter. Ahhh Osas"

"What?!" She smiled "Not just because the money is cheaper, but I have seen his work and he is very good. You should swing by and check out some of his handiwork in the saloon very smooth and clean finish touches"

"So you agree you were trying to cut cost"

"Omo! If you know how much have been spent in setting up this saloon you will be surprised. I know you have money but you will be shocked, rent aside your mother has done unspeakable things for me. She is my very own God sent"

"You know I'm also available to assist in any way that I can for whatever you need, infact I wished you took the money from me rather than my mom"

Osas paused for air, is he being serious or he is just saying this because the work is almost finished

"Don't you think you are a little too late, Edafe"

"Not on purpose, am sure there are other things you need, pls lemme contribute, I want to help"
