Raphael was in the middle of a serious car racing tournament with his friend Jamil when his phone started ringing.
He didn't want to lose the game coz they were so close to the end of the race but when he glance at the table to see his phone ringing
It was his mom calling
He got stuck halfway coz he was wondering why his mom was calling him at this time of the night.
His car turned over in the race while he wasn't looking and he lost the race
"Whooooopsies!" His friend cheered
"Now that's what am talking about "
"Shut up moron! My mom was calling and that's how I got my eyes off the screen"
"You lost this tournament bruh so just accept defeat"
He chuckles as he picks his mom's call
"Hey mom!"
"Hello my love, where are you son?"
"Am at Jamil's place..., is everything okay?"
"Oh am okay! So you are on the mainland right now"
"Hmm! Hmm!! Should be heading soon. Is there a problem "
"Actually I need you to go pick up Osas, I think she's in trouble, I don't know something with her sister or cousin and then her landlady, everything's a mess"
"Woah!Woahhhh!!! Slow down mom. I didn't get what you were saying "
"I need you to go pick up Osas "
"Am sorry.... Pick up who?"
"Osas!"
He raised a brow
"Why would I do that"
"My driver has closed for the day and Osas is having troubles at home, she needs a place to stay so am gonna need you to go pick her up and bring her over to the house"
"No mama I ain't doing that"
"Raphael pls"
"I don't see how any of this is my problem or yours. Am not going anywhere. Go pick her up for what??!"
He scoffs
"Like I don't have better things to do "
"We both know you are just playing video games Raphael"
"Which is an important tournament by the way
If she got herself into trouble then let her find a way to fix it. Why is she coming to you for help, are you her messiah or her guardian angel. "
"She needs help Raphael and am not going to let her sleep on the streets"
"That's none of my business mommy. She's a grown ass woman. She can do whatever the hell she wants"
"You are on the mainland Son, you can just drive through and pick her up for me pls. Just bring her over to the estate and she'll stay with me"
"I said No! Mom! Pls don't make me yell at you"
She sighed
"Alright fine! I'll go pick her up myself "
"Huh! What? No! You are not going anywhere. Do you know what the time says it past 11pm you cannot go outside let alone drive yourself "
"I can't just leave her out there "
Raphael rubs his hand on his forehead
"Mommy has this girl bewitched you or something coz I don't get this insane attachment and commitment you feel towards her. Someone you literally just met three days ago"
"Are you bringing her or not?"
Raphael cringed and gnashed his teeth in anger
"Alright fine! I'll bring your golden girl to you"
